Toronto Fashion Haul!

I went to Toronto last weekend for my best friends' 21st birthday, and I did some shopping! I hadn't been to Toronto for about 2 years, so I was really excited to be able to visit the city again. I always think of Ottawa as a big city, but Toronto just feels so much busier and bigger. We stayed in the Best Western Primrose hotel, which was just outside of Dundas Square. I highly recommend this hotel, it's only about a 5-10 minute walk to the Eaton Centre, and it's way cheaper than a hotel in the downtown core.

I picked up a really cute skirt from Joe Fresh for only $16 (link). This was actually my first purchase from Joe Fresh! I find that you can either find amazing deals in Joe, or the items are really overpriced. They had this skirt in a few other beautiful prints and colours, but they didn't have any smalls left in anything other than this print. This skirt is really light and flowy, and it's a nice change from all of the high-low skirts that I've been buying!

My friend told me about a store called Katie's, and we stopped by to check it out. There are now 15 locations, and we went to the one on Queen Street West. This store has really cheap items, and I have to admit that the quality isn't super amazing, but you can definitely find some great bargains. First I found this beautiful pale pink high-low skirt with accordion pleats. This skirt was only $13.60, so I had to pick it up!

Next I spotted this beautiful navy and cream dress, and I fell in love with the way it fit me. I'll do an OOTD with this dress soon :) This was also only $13.60, so I knew it was coming home with me.

We checked out two Forever 21's in Toronto, and I found a great basic black cardigans. I love wearing these basic cardigans over dresses or tank tops when it gets a bit colder at night, and I've been on the hunt for a new one.

I found another high-low skirt (someone needs to help me stop buying them!) at Dynamite. I already have this skirt in a cobalt blue shade, but this black one was on sale for only $12. How could I possibly resist? I have zero self-restraint when it comes to the high-low trend.

The final stop, and the store that I was most excited about was Brandy Melville! We don't have one here in Ottawa, so I knew that I had to check it out when I could. I absolutely fell in love with this crop top, and I knew that it had to come home with my. When I showed my boyfriend he thought that I had accidentally bought a children's top... I don't know how much wear I'll get out of this top, but I thought it would be fun to have in my wardrobe. All of the clothing in Brandy was so soft, I couldn't get over it!

I had an absolutely amazing weekend in Toronto! It was great to see my friends again, and spend some time in the city. If you've been doing some shopping lately, let me know what you've picked up. What trends have you been loving lately? :)
