Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray

I've had Bumble & Bumble's Surf Spray ($29.50 CAD) in my collection for quite a while now, probably about a year. It seems to be a product that I use in cycles, but I've really fallen in love with it this Summer!

"This styling spray adds volume and texture to the hair to create a sexy, wind-blown feel. Its salt-infused formula adds fullness, hold, and a cool, matte finish. Salt water is no secret to editorial stylists for adding volume and texture, and anyone who has been in the ocean knows of that salty, sexy, sun-dried, wind-styled feel (that seems such a shame to wash out). So while Bumble and bumble hasn't exactly bottled the real thing, they've replicated and improved it, including seaweed and kelp extracts to enhance moisture." - Sephora

I really like to use this Surf Spray on days when my wavy hair is looking a little bit limp. I do find that you have to spray on quite a bit of this solution to see results. I probably use about 15 sprays on my hair, and then I scrunch my hair in my hands. I typically use this on dry hair, as I shower at night, but you can also use this on damp hair. I always find that this product adds some life to my hair. My hair is naturally wavy, but it does sometimes need a bit of help to look presentable. Bumble and Bumble's Surf Spray is an easy way to add some beachy texture to your hair! I don't know that this would add waves or curls to someone with pin-straight hair, but it would probably still add some texture and movement.

If you're craving that beachy look, I do recommend checking out Bumble and Bumble's Surf Spray. There are many similar salt spray products on the market, but I've only tried Lush's Sea Spray, which I also really like (review to come soon!). What is your favourite salt spray?

  1. I want to try this! I have been using Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray that I got in an Ipsy bag, and I have been liking that one too.

  2. I've never used a salt spray before, I'm not sure if I'd even use it right or if my hair would take to it.
