I've recently been introduced to the KEVIN.MURPHY hair line, and I've been trying out their YOUNG.AGAIN.MASQUE* ($49.00 CAD). My hair can be quite dry and damaged from years of attacking it with the flat iron. In recent years, I've really cut back on the amount of heat I use on my hair, and my locks are starting to forgive my. My hair is also colour treated, so I'm looking for products that really work to protect my hair, and reverse damage.

"Immortelle and Baobab infused restorative softening masque. Addresses all three factors that relate to the premature aging of hair.

Key Ingredients:
6 Australian rainforest fruit extracts Rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, these extracts were shown to flourish despite the harsh climatic conditions.
Baobab seed oil Provides moisturizing benefits to the hair while improving elasticity and tone
Orchid flower extract Rich in proteins, reinforces hair strength and provides intense hydration
Immortelle Extraordinary healing qualities and great regenerating ability, super antioxidant
Lotus flower extract Helps to protect the hair from moisture loss. Rich in protein, leaving hair soft and supple
Kakadu plum extracts A potent antioxidant essential for the repair of damaged hair
Phospholipids Create a skin like barrier to lock in moisture
Bamboo extracts Known for its restorative effects, adding natural shine and lustre to the hair"

KEVIN.MURPHY's YOUNG.AGAIN.MASQUE comes housed in this really cute packaging, containing 200ml. There is a pump for this masque, but unfortunately my pump is non-functional. I swear I have the worst luck with pumps on products! This hair masque has a very faint scent that is reminiscent of lemon meringue pie. However, the scent is very faint, and doesn't stick around too long in your hair. I work this masque into my hair and scalp after shampooing. KEVIN.MURPHY recommends leaving this masque on for 5-15 minutes, and then rinse. I found that this masque helped make my hair feel incredibly soft, and I have virtually no frizz (which never happens)!! All of KEVIN.MURPHY's products contain a sunscreen to help protect your hair from potentially damaging UV rays. KEVIN.MURPHY also does not use sulphate surfactants in any of their products, which is amazing! Sulphates can irritate the scalp, so this masque (and the entire line) should be safe for anyone with skin sensitivities.

The actual product is about the same consistency as a normal conditioner. At first, this made me a bit skeptical, since masques are traditionally much thicker. However, after using this masque, I have no more doubts. This masque works amazingly to combat frizz, and makes my hair feel smooth and healthy.

Have you tried this YOUNG.AGAIN.MASQUE from KEVIN.MURPHY before? What is your current go-to hair masque? :)

  1. It seems good. But generally I don not use chemical products before consulting with my doctor. Hope she recommend me to use it.

Tropic isle jamaican black castor oil

    1. I think this product would be pretty safe to use! :)

  2. My hair is also pretty dry, I need to check this out!

  3. I like the container this is in :D
