Vichy Lip Protection Stick SPF 30

I've spend the last week and a half at my boyfriend's cottage, and it was so great to be able to relax and spend some time by the lake. Of course you always want to protect your skin, but I find myself taking extra care when I'm on vacation. One of my staple products has been Vichy's Lip Protection Stick SPF 30*, which helps protect your lips from burning.

"The photostable formula with Mexoryl XL®, a patented broad spectrum filtering system, along with other filters, protects the skin from UVA and UVB rays. Photostable, the formula doesn't lose its efficiency during sun exposure.Efficacy tested under dermatological control." - Vichy

This product comes packaged like a traditional lip balm that twists up. The stick itself is white, but it applies without any colour to your lips. I kept this with me at all times when I was reading by the lake, swimming, going for walks, etc. I know that I could be using one of my tinted lip balms that also have SPF in the formula, but I didn't want to have to bother with any makeup while being in and out of the water.

This lip balm is hydrating, but it won't cure chapped lips. I find that this offers a nice light dose of hydration, which is nice when you're out in the sun. This formula stays on my lips for about 3 hours before I need to reapply. I used this during my entire vacation, and my lips didn't get dried out or chapped at all.

If you're looking for an invisible sunscreen for your lips, I would recommend checking out Vichy's Lip Protection Stick. This formula doesn't have any scent to it, which I really appreciated. Have you tried this product before? What are you favourite lip protectants? :)

  1. Great review, it really is important to wear SPF on the lips, which a lot of people don't do (myself included >.<)
