Bioderma Sébium Global

I've recently finished off my bottle of La Roche-Posay's Toleraine Ultra (reviewed here), so I was looking for a good moisturizer to replace it. Bioderma has recently released a new moisturizer called Sébium Global* ($23 CAD), and I decided to try it out!

"NEW - Intensive purifying care
  • Eliminates spots and blackheads
  • Cuts the risk of scarring
  • Smooths the skin texture
  • Paraben free - Hypoallergenic"

This new moisturizer from Bioderma is meant to help acne prone skin, and has both antibacterial and soothing properties. My skin is in good condition, but I do get the occasional breakout. This formula is very light, and sinks into the skin quickly. This moisturizer does have a light scent, which is almost fruity. However, it's very light, so it shouldn't bother sensitive skin types. I've recently changed up a few items in my skincare routine, so I can't say that it's this product exactly, but my skin has been getting a lot better. I've noticed my pores shrinking, fewer breakouts, and spots healing quicker.

Bioderma's Sébium Global is "the skin care which targets the biological cause responsible for spots and blackheads: changes to the lipidic context. For the 1st time thanks to its unique patented combination, a product biologically recreates a sebum close to one that of healthy skin. It mimics the effects of vitamin E which is lacking in these patients, but which is essential for the protection of lipids, and allows the physiological process of acne to be stopped. The vicious cycle is broken: no more spots or blackheads!"

I've been really happy with this new moisturizer from Bidoerma! I love how it feels on my skin, and how quickly it sinks in. This product doesn't leave my skin looking shiny or oily, like a lot of heavier creams can do. Have you tried Bioderma's new Sébium Global? What is your current "go-to" moisturizer?

  1. I haven't seen this anywhere - maybe I should order this online. I usually use Aveeno daily moisturizer and I quite like it though.
