Live Clean (Lovely Lips)

I always have some sort of lip product on my lips at any given time, I've become so addicted to the feeling of having something sitting on my lips. The Canadian company Live Clean has recently released a line of eco-friendly lip balms, called (Lovely Lips)* ($4.29 CAD). I love the idea of an eco-friendly, organic lip balm, since I know that I must inadvertently ingest quite a bit of lip product day after day.

"Don’t be surprised if Live Clean (Lovely Lips) becomes your all-‐time favourite – "can't live without it" - lip product. The Canadian makers of exceptional eco-friendly personal care products have certainly done their homework in the creation of (Lovely Lips) Lip Balms. In three exquisite, prestige-‐quality formulations - Soothing, Moisturizing and Protecting - (Lovely Lips) performs marvelously; moisturizing and protecting lips with just the right texture and consistency. Protective without being greasy, light yet substantial, with your choice of soothing, hydrating, or nourishing. (Lovely Lips) brings all of Live Clean's carefully developed knowledge to play." - Live Clean

I have all three formulas to share with you, and they all have a minty scent to them. Even though these balms smell minty, they don't tingle your lips like some products do. These lip balms are USDA Organic Certified, made with up to 100% natural ingredients, petroleum and mineral oil free. This formula applies in a very thin layer, and feels quite natural and light on the lips. I love that this lip balm doesn't feel sticky or heavy, and I think it would be perfect to layer underneath lip stick. This formula hydrates my lips for about 2 hours before I need to reapply. I honestly haven't been able to tell a huge difference between the three lip balms, they all feel very similar on the lips.

I absolutely love the philosophy of this Canadian brand. Their products are cruelty-free, their packaging is recyclable and their ingredients are locally sourced. These aren't the most hydrating lip balms I've ever used, but I think that the health benefits and organic ingredients are a worthy trade off. These Live Clean (Lovely Lips) lip balms are available in Canada at Shopper's, Walmart, and Rexall. Will you be picking up any of the three new formulations?
