Lush Schnuggle

As the seasons are changing, and the weather is getting colder, I'm looking for products to help hydrate my skin. My body tends to get drier in the Fall and Winter months, and I try to combat that with moistuizing products, and I've recently started using Lush's Schnuggle* ($16.95 CAD) to do the job!

"When you get out of your night-time bath or shower, massage this moisturizing cocoa butter bar into your skin. The absorbent powders in Schnuggle make your skin feel soft and not the slightest bit oily, as though you've been sprinkled with skin-smoothing fairy dust. It's lovely right before bed because it moisturizes skin but you're saved the worry about ruining the sheets! The dreamy, soporific fragrance of lavender, chamomile, ginger and sandalwood (similar to our Dreamtime Luxury Bath Melt) will send you off peacefully into the land of nod." - Lush

Lush's Schnuggle is one of their body butters, and it is a retro product (meaning you can only buy it online). These body butters are essentially solid moisurizers that you apply in the shower to damp skin. I apply this all over my body, making sure to keep the bar out of the stream of water, or else it will melt. I then lightly rinse off the excess product, and pat dry. Schnuggle leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and hydrated, but not greasy. This formula leaves a nice silky, powdery finish to your skin, instead of feeling greasy. This body butter has a nice scent that is very "Lush". If you've ever been into a Lush store, that's what Schnuggle smells like. It's a nice mix of earthy and floral notes, and lingers on your skin for a few hours.

I love these Body Butters because it means that I can skip applying moisturizer after my shower. If you hate applying body lotion, or if you always forget, then these body butters might be a great solution for you! Have you tried Lush's Schnuggle, or any of their other Body Butters? Which formula is your favourite? :)

  3. this is really neat, I have one of their massage bars and this sounds fairly similar. it seems like an easy way to skip actual body butter :)
