Essie On A Silver Platter

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I have another polish from Essie's Encrusted Treasures Collection, On A Silver Platter* ($8 USD/$9.95 CAD) to share with you! This is one of those polishes that you can either wear on its' own, or layer over top creme polishes.

"Violet holographic glitter and antique silver add bold contrast to this pearlescent gold that proclaims: the world is yours for the taking."

Essie's On A Silver Platter contains antique silver and blue/violet glitter pieces of various sizes suspended in a clear base. I'm wearing three coats of this polish, along with a layer of OPI's Top Coat. In person, this polish does actually look like it has an opaque finish, but with the flash from my camera it looks like I have a few bald spots. I really love how the antique silver and blue work together, I think that the combination is really pretty. I definitely think that this polish would be a great one to wear to a holiday party!

I need to experiment with layering Essie's On A Silver Platter over other polishes, or using it as an accent nail. What polishes do you think that I should try layering it over top of? Are you a fan of Essie's On A Silver Platter? I think that this polish will be perfect for the holiday season! Essie's Encrusted Treasures Collection hits store shelves November 2013.
