Fresh Brown Sugar Body Cream

I received Fresh's Brown Sugar Body Cream* ($40 CAD/6.8oz) last holiday season, but I'm ashamed to admit that I'm only now getting around to using it! Over this past year, I actually haven't bought any new shower gels or body lotions, I've been trying to use up what's in my stash. So now I'm finally using Fresh's Brown Sugar Body Cream, and I thought I'd share my thoughts on it with you!

"Fresh Brown Sugar Body Cream leaves skin super soft and supple. It is enriched with apricot kernel, sweet almond, evening primrose, and jojoba oils that nourish the skin to silky perfection. An addictive and iconic scent completes the luxurious experience and will keep you coming back for more." - Sephora

If you've ever used one of Fresh's famous Sugar Lip Balms, then you'll know what the scent of this body cream is. Unlike the name suggests, this body cream doesn't smell anything like brown sugar, which I was really disappointed by. This scent is more of a fake lemony-citrus, which I'm not particularly fond of. The scent does linger on my skin for quite a while, so I typically only reach for this at night so it doesn't clash with my perfume. Definitely give this lotion a sniff before you purchase, because I feel like you will either love or hate this scent!

If you can get past the scent, this is actually a pretty great body cream! This lotion is somewhere between a body butter and a lotion. The formula sinks into my skin quickly, but it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and supple. This cream leaves my skin feeling moisturized for about 12 hours, which I find quite impressive! Fresh's Brown Sugar Body Cream would be a great formula to use in the Fall and Winter months, as it is quite hydrating.

I have a travel sized tube of Fresh's Brown Sugar Body Cream, which is half of the full size version. At $40 CAD, this is a very expensive body cream, and since I don't like the scent, I won't be purchasing the full size. However, if this came in another value set, I would use it again. If you're in the market for a luxurious body cream, and you like the scent of this one, then it definitely is a great formula!

Have you tried Fresh's Brown Sugar Body Cream? Are you a fan of this scent?

    2. I'd feel really cheated if I paid for this and only found out when I opened it, but super impressed you haven't been buying any over the last year. I need to do something similar in 2013 i think...

    3. You should definitely try to use up all of your lotions before buying any more! I had a huge stash from whenever Bath & Body Works ran their buy 3 get 3 free sales, I just had to start using them and stop buying more!
