Joico Moisture Recovery Shampoo & Conditioner

As I've mentioned plenty of times before, my hair tends to be quite dry and damaged. I'm always on the hunt for hydrating products, and over the past year I have found a few amazing products. Most recently, I've been testing out Joico's Moisture Recovery Shampoo* ($12.69/300ml) & Conditioner* ($14.99/300ml).

Joico Moisture Recovery Shampoo: "The first step to revitalizing dry hair, this moisture-quenching shampoo restores vital fluids and provides intense moisturization with Hydramine Sea Complex, while the Bio-Advanced Peptide Complex repairs and reconstructs. Jojoba Oil, a naturally occurring emollient that penetrates, moisturizes and conditions hair, helps replenish the hydrolipidic layer, as it has a high capacity for water absorption to optimize moisture retention throughout the day. Hair emerges hydrated, smooth and manageable with increased elasticity." - Joico

This shampoo is a pearly pale blue colour, and has a nice spa-like scent to it. I was really pleasantly surprised by how nicely this shampoo lathers up! I only used about a quarter sized amount, and that was enough to create a nice lather for my entire head. I massaged this shampoo into my scalp, and then rinsed out. This formula worked quite nicely to clean my hair, but it didn't strip my hair of all of its natural oils.

Moisture Recovery Conditioner for dry hair: "This technologically-advanced, marine-based conditioner with Hydramine Sea and the Bio-Advanced Peptide Complex provide the ultimate in moisture replenishment, leaving hair hydrated, smooth, manageable and elastic. Jojoba Oil, a naturally occurring emollient that penetrates, moisturizes and conditions hair, helps replenish the hydrolipidic layer, as it has a high capacity for water absorption to optimize moisture retention throughout the day." - Joico

This conditioner is a white colour and I didn't find that it had much of a scent to it. My hair is a few inches past shoulder length, and I only needed a quarter sized amount to cover the bottom half of my hair. I left this on for the duration of my shower (about 5 minutes), and then I rinsed it out. You can leave this conditioner on for less time though (the packaging says only 1 minute). I was very happy with how soft and manageable this conditioner made my hair feel!

Overall, I was really impressed by this power duo! If you have dry or damaged hair, I highly recommend trying these out. My hair now feels smooth and soft, and I have a lot less frizz and tangles! What more could a girl ask for? Have you tried this line from Joico before? What are your favourite products for soft and smooth locks? :)
