Lush Volcano

Recently I've been trying out Lush's Volcano* ($13.95 - $22.95), which is a foot mask! I don't think I've ever used a foot mask before, so I was really excited to try this out. I like to have a pampering session every Sunday night, which includes a face mask, hair mask, burning a candle, and painting my nails. Now I can include a foot mask into the mix!

"To avoid eruptions of noxious fumes, and for the softest soles imaginable - slather on our thick kaolin and pumice Volcano foot mask to draw out deep down dirt and slough off rough skin. We raided the produce bin and added fresh papaya and lemon juices to cleanse, as well as tomatoes, potatoes and anti-fungal essential oils to deodorize against odor and foot gremlins. After putting up your feet for ten minutes, massage off using the pumice blend to scrub off dead skin cells and you’ll be left with soft, lovely and smell-free feet." - Lush

I apply a thin layer of Lush's Volcano all over both of my feet, and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Lush recommends wrapping your feet in plastic, but I haven't tried that yet. This product is nothing special to look at, it's just a grey clay paste. Volcano has tomatoes, papaya, menthol, potatoes, and lemon among the ingredients, which I thought was really cool! While this foot mask dries, it starts to turn a darker grey colour. After 10 minutes, I hop in the shower, and rinse off this mask. You can rub the mask into your feet and the pumice in the ingredients will act as an exfoliant.

I find that Lush's Volcano has actually really helped soften my feet and heels! I think that this is a great product to use once a week or so to really pamper your feet and get them in their best possible condition. After a Summer full of flip flop and sandal wearing, most people's feet need some pampering! Have you tried Lush's Volcano Foot Mask before? What are your favourite pampering products? :)

  1. I haven't tried this or even considered a foot mask, but I do love lush and it seems like a very neat product. I might be lazy about using it though, but I think it would be a good treat for your feet :)
