Sally Hansen Malbec

I'm officially on my Fall Reading Week, which I am incredibly excited about! A week long break is always welcomed, but I do have a lot of studying and reading to do. I have a few really fun posts that I'm planning for the coming week, so stay tuned! Today I have another polish, Malbec* ($8.95) from Sally Hansen's collaboration with Tracy Reese.

"The Tracy Reese Fall 2013 collection is very much inspired by New York with all its harshness and beauty. Reese combined a variety of rich, tough textures and romantic patterns for a collection of sexy, classic silhouettes. From deep velvety darkness to textured patent refraction, the patterns anchor a palette highlighted by scarlet, cerise, teal, aubergine, tan and lychee." - Sally Hansen

Malbec is a beautiful deep aubergine, and I think that this shade is perfect for Fall/Winter. Malbec is very similar to OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark, so if you want to see a comparison post, let me know! This polish is Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure formula, so I was able to skip both the base and top coat. I used two coats of Malbec, but I think a third coat would deepen up the colour even more. This deep plumy shade is one of my favourites to wear this time of year. I love that you can still clearly tell that Malbec is purple, not black.

Sally's Hansen's collaboration with Tracy Reese includes three shades (Malbec, New Wave Blue, and Perfectly Poppy). Will you be picking up any of these new shades? :)
