Batiste Dry Shampoo - Tropical

I wash my hair every 2-3 days, so I am a regular user of dry shampoo. I've tried quite a few different brands and formulas, some of which I really love and some which were quite bad. Recently I've been trying out Batiste's Dry Shampoo Tropical* ($8.99 CDN/200ml), which I've heard so many rave reviews on, and I was really excited to try it out!

"Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo not only leaves hair clean and feeling soft but also smelling fresh, fruity and exotic. Containing a delicious blend of melon, banana, coconut, plum and peach mixed with vanilla and sandalwood musk, Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo is quite simply a tropical heaven for the hair.

Batiste Dry Shampoo banishes oily roots, giving dull, lifeless hair the makeover it needs without water. A quick burst revitalises hair, adds body and texture and leaves it feeling clean and fresh too. No need to worry about skipping a shampoo." - Batiste

My hair is a dark brunette shade, so I always worry about dry shampoos leaving that dreaded white cast. Thankfully, Batiste's Dry Shampoo in Tropical doesn't leave my hair looking white at all! I do find that if I spray too much on my hair, it starts to look a bit white, so I just spray on what I need and then stop. I use this dry shampoo on second and third day hair, concentrating on the roots. I find that this formula helps to soak up all of the oils, and it leave my hair feeling clean and refreshed! Some dry shampoos can make your hair feel dirty and gritty, but I thankfully haven't had that issue with Batiste. The Tropical formula/scent has a nice light coconut beachy fragrance, which I love! The scent doesn't linger for too long in my hair though. I don't find that this formula gives my hair a ton of volume, but my hair is already naturally voluminous.

I really love how this absorbs oils yet leaves my hair feeling soft and clean! Batiste is available in a bunch of different scents, and they even have formulas for coloured hair. I'm really wanting to try out the Wild, Dark Brown, and Blush versions. Have you tried any of Batiste's dry shampoos before?

  2. I love the smell of this, but sadly it didn't agree with my hair. 8.99 seems expensive, as it retails in the UK for around £2.99 but maybe that's a smaller bottle. Xx

  3. I've used Batiste's Blush dry shampoo and really loved it! Floral and fresh, but not too strong, and it really gets the job done. I recently bought the Cherry scent and really like it as well.
