Bite Beauty High Pigment Matte Pencil - Quince

I recently picked up Bite Beauty's Best Bite Set from Sephora, which includes 4 deluxe sized samples of Bite's High Pigment Matte Pencils. I've already been playing around with the different shades, and today I have Quince to share with you! The full size versions of the High Pigment Matte Pencils are $28 CAD/0.09oz.

"Made with a double-dose of premium micronized pigments, this lip pencil delivers a modern matte look. This lip color delivers super antioxidant resveratrol, which fights free radicals with potent long-term antiaging benefits. Each lip pencil contains the amount of resveratrol found in five glasses of red wine. This product is free of synthetics, polybutenes, and petroleum byproducts and made exclusively with lip nurturing food-grade ingredients that are healthy enough to eat." - Sephora

Quince is a gorgeous pink with berry tones, and this type of shade is one of my all-time favourites to wear. I find that this tone of pink suits many different skin tones, and it's such a fun colour to wear. Bite Beauty states that this is a matte shade, but it really doesn't look matte on my lips. I would say that this is more of a satin finish, which I actually prefer to matte shades. This formula feels amazing on my lips, like a combination of a balm and lip colour. As the name suggests, these pencil pack some serious pigment! All you need is one swipe for full colour, so the pencil should last you ages. This formula lasts about 4 hours on my lips before starting to wear off. This formula isn't transfer resistant, so it won't last too well throughout eating and drinking. A lip liner would be a good idea with this shade, but it definitely isn't necessary.

I also love that these pencils come in twist-up packaging, meaning that you don't need to sharpen them, and you won't loose any of the product that way! The tube of the packaging is slightly rubberized, somewhat reminiscent of NARS' packaging. Overall, I'm really impressed with Quince! This bright pink is both exciting and wearable - the best of both worlds!

Have you tried any of Bite's High Pigment Pencils? Would you be interested in a full review of their Best of Bite Set? :)

  3. This shade is so pretty. I placed an order this afternoon on this set as well. I was contemplating on this set and the NARS set. This set won me over as I like the colors better and also these ones are twist ups, as opposed to the sharpening ones from NARS.

    1. Thank you! I'm also considering picking up the NARS set in the VIB sale, I really want to try out their pencils and I love that you get to try out 5 shades. But yes, the Bite set is a lot more affordable and I love that you don't have to sharpen them!
