Bobbi Brown Blush - Pale Pink

As you might have seen in my recent Sephora Friends & Family Haul, I picked up Bobbi Brown's Blush in the shade Pale Pink ($30 CAD/0.13oz). I've heard a ton of great reviews on this blush, and I thought that it would be a great shade to start with, as I don't own too many Bobbi Brown products! This was actually the blush that Kate Middleton wore on her wedding day - who doesn't that blushing royal bride look?

"A silky-sheer powder blush that instantly gives cheeks a fresh, natural-looking pop of color." - Sephora

Bobbi Brown's Pale Pink has a quite misleading name, as this blush is fairly bold and anything but pale. However, this formula does apply lightly, so you can achieve a very natural look with Pale Pink. I love bright pink blushes like this, and a similar shade in my collection would be NARS' Angelika. However, Angelika has a ton of silver glitter, and Pale Pink  is matte.

Pale Pink applies beautifully, and I like to use IT Cosmetics' French Boutique Blush Brush, which is a fluffy angled synthetic brush. You can start off by applying a light layer for a more natural look, or you can build up this shade for a bolder cheek. Even though this blush is matte, it isn't chalky like a lot of matte blushes are. This formula is still very creamy and easy to blend, and is doesn't feel or look powdery. I find that this blush lasts for about 7-8 hours on my cheeks, and then it starts to fade.

Have you tried any of Bobbi Brown's blushes? I'm really interested in the new shade Berry, but I'm worried that it will look to bold on my pale skin. I'm really impressed with the formula of Pale Pink, so this definitely won't be the last Bobbi Brown blush to make its' way into my collection! :)

  2. I've never tried a powder blush from Bobbi Brown but one of their cream blushes (powder pink I believe) is one of my favourite easy go to shades.
