Lush Santa Baby Lip Tint

Today I have another item from Lush's Christmas 2013 Collection to share with you: Santa Baby Lip Tint* ($8.95/8g). This is a limited edition holiday product that is more of a cosmetic product compared to the items I normally use from Lush! I love lip products, and a nice red lip is a staple during the holiday season.

"A deep, classic red, this tint provides a colorful moisture boost for the lips. A rich base of Fair Trade Shea butter and cocoa butters will soften the lips and keep them hydrated through the chilly winter months, while vitamin-rich carrot oil nourishes and softens. If a super hydrating base and gorgeous color weren’t enough, we’ve also added a sweet cola flavor made up of festive date and cherry extracts! Apply sparingly for a subtle rouge tint, or more generously for a bright crimson pout. Smooth onto lips and make sure your under-the-mistletoe kisses are as sweet as can be!" - Lush

Lush's Santa Baby Lip Tint comes packaged in a cute little tin. This packaging does however make this product a bit tricky to apply, and I think I would have preferred a traditional lipstick or tube-like packaging. You do have to use your fingers to apply, and this product is quite pigmented. This means that it can be hard to stay within the lines of your lips. Santa Baby has a beautiful formula, which includes Shea butter to really help nourish and hydrate your lips. A lot of the time, lip tints and stains are very drying, but this isn't the case with Lush's Santa Baby. This pinky-red colour stays on my lips for about 5-6 hours, which I find is quite good. I do feel like I need to apply a balm or gloss over top at around the 3 hour point, which is typical for my lips.

This product also pairs perfectly with Lush's Santa's Lip Scrub (reviewed here), and the duo would make an amazing gift. Both products have that amazing cola scent, which I think most people will enjoy. Have you tried any lip tints or cosmetic items from Lush before? What is your favourite holiday item from Lush this year? :)

  1. I agree, it's really pigmented for a pot product but it's so nice I forgive it! I find it a bit drying and definitely top up with a lip balm, but I also don't own a lot of lip stains to compare it to.
