Montagne Jeunesse PawPaw Peel Off Mask

In my teen years I used Montagne Jeunesse's individually packaged face masks quite a bit. These masks seemed to be a staple product for sleepovers and slumber parties, they're just so much fun to do with your girl friends! I've been trying out one of the newer formulas in this line, Montagne Jeunesse's PawPaw Peel Off Mask* ($2.49 CAD), and I've remembered how fun they are!

"Picked from the tropics of South America the Pawpaw aka Papaya (known as ‘Fruit of Angels’) and Noni Fruit naturally help protect. This duo work harmoniously, revealing clean sensational skin, sent from the Heavens…Cleanse face and dry. Apply thinly and evenly over face and neck with fingertips, avoiding eyes, lips and hair. Relax for 15-20 minutes or when totally dry gently peel off masque (never pull) wash off any stuck bits with water. Pat dry. Use weekly" - Montagne Jeunesse

This PawPaw mask has a very fruity scent, but it isn't too strong or overpowering. I applied a medium-thickness layer to cleansed skin, and I kept the mask on for about 15 minutes. This mask looks orange in the packet, but once you spread it out over your face it doesn't have too much of a colour to it. It's been a while since I've used a peel off mask, and I always used to love them. I find peeling masks just so satisfying! This PawPaw mask dries without feeling uncomfortable or too tight, which is essential for a good peel off mask. I will admit that I was nervous to remove this mask, as I know a few people have found it painful. However, I worked in small areas, and I didn't experience any pain or tugging! The mask came off easily, and I rinsed any leftovers off, and followed up with my regular skin care routine.

I found that this mask helped to brighten my skin, and it left my skin feeling very refreshed. I don't know that this mask is going to work any miracles for your skin, but it is a really fun pampering treat. There was enough product in the packet for 2 uses, but unfortunately since it's a peel off mask, you have to use it right after you open it. This one would be a great choice for sharing with a friend!

Have you tried any face masks from Montagne Jeunesse? Which formula/scent is your favourite? I think I'll be trying out the White Chocolate one next - sounds really yummy! :)

  1. I have tried these .. I think the cucumber one. They are a lot of fun and I Iike trying individual products instead of being stuck with a whole bottle of something I don't like.
