October 2013 Empties

I'm back again with another monthly empties post! Another month down, another basket of trash to get through - lol! I have a ton of empties, so let's get started!

Bath & Body Works Apple Crumble Candle – This candle smelt amazing! I absolutely loved it, but I’m not sure that BBW still carries this scent.

Bath & Body Works French Baguette Candle – I liked this candle, but I found that it didn’t give off a lot of scent. I wish that this one was a bit more potent!

Lush Roots (reviewed here) – This is one of my all-time favourite products from Lush, it’s an amazing hair mask! I like to use this every couple of weeks to really add a boost of hydration into my hair, and to reduce frizz.

Lush Jasmin and Henna Fluff Ease* (reviewed here) – This is another great hair mask from Lush. I don’t like the scent of this as much as I like that of Roots, but this formula also works really well.

The Body Shop Spiced Vanilla Body Butter – This was my favourite scent from The Body Shop, but unfortunately it has been discontinued. I’m looking forward to the vanilla scent in this years’ holiday collection!

Innisfree It's Real Cucumber Mask* - This was the first time I've ever used a sheet mask, and let me tell you -I'm in love! I'll be doing a full review and giveaway on these masks soon, so stay tuned!

Lush Lord of Misrule* (Reviewed here) - This bath bomb smelt incredible! This was limited edition for Halloween, but if you can still find it then I highly recommend picking it up!

Lush Each Peach Massage Bar (reviewed here) – I love this product, it smells amazing and really helps to hydrate your skin. I’ve been getting back into using Lush’s massage bars recently!

BBW Sweat Pea Triple Moisture Shower Cream (reviewed here) – This formula was really rich and creamy, I really liked it. I liked the Sweet Pea scent, but it wasn’t my all-time favourite from BBW.

BBW Sweet Pea Triple Moisture Body Cream (reviewed here)  – Again, I really liked the hydrating formula, and I will definitely be buying more of these in other scents.

Tresemme Dry Shampoo – I really wasn’t a fan of this dry shampoo, there are so many other amazing options available at the drugstore! I won’t be repurchasing.

OPI Avolpex Revitalizing Hand & Body Scrub* - I loved this product, and I kept it on my bathroom counter, and used it daily. The oils really help to moisturize my hands while they were being exfoliated. Highly recommend!

Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter Sample - I love this body cream! This formula is incredibly hydrating, it's just amazing!

Yankee Candle Tart in Sugared Apple - I love these Tarts from Yankee Candle, and this scent was really nice. It's a great scent for the colder months!

Lush Demon in the Dark Soap* (reviewed here) – This soap was nice, but it wasn't one of my favourites from Lush. The scent just wasn’t perfect for me!

Kiss Halloween Nail Dress in Ghouls* (reviewed here) - These limited edition Halloween designs were so fun to play around with! I really like this formula from Kiss, they're super easy to apply and remove.

Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Alpha Beta Peel x3 - I had three packs of these at home peels from Sephora orders. I really liked this 2 step system, I felt like I could feel it working!

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra-Fluid Lotion Face SPF 60 sample - I really liked this formula, it was perfect for applying underneath makeup. I might purchase the full size next Summer.

Estee Lauder Illuminating Perfecting Primer sample - I loved this primer, it gave my skin a beautiful glow, and it really did help my foundation stay on longer.

Kate Somerville 360 Tanning Towelette - I like to use these tanning towels all over my body every once in a while to give a boost of natural looking colour. I don't get any streaking with these towels, they're really great.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Ruffled Feathers* (reviewed here) - These polish strips are made with real nail polish. I loved this design, it was really fun and the beautiful navy and lighter blue colours were perfect for Fall. I do think that these are a bit expensive though, considering you only get one use per pack.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (reviewed here) – This was a great hydrating lip balm, I really loved it! However, it is really expensive, and I think that there are cheaper alternatives.

Sephora False Eye Lashes in Paparazzi* (reviewed here) - I loved these lashes, they gave a very dramatic look, so they were perfect for nights out. I don't wear false lashes everyday, but I do like to wear them on night out.

Aveeno Anti-Itch Lotion - If you have sensitive skin, this product will be perfect for you! I like to have this lotion on hand at all times because I do have somewhat sensitive skin, but it's also great for bug bites and allergic reactions.

Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion – This was a nice sample to use, but I don’t think that I’ll be buying the full size. This formula was nice and gentle, but I just like my toner from Bioderma a lot more.

The Body Shop Raspberry Lip Balm (reviewed here) – I love these lip balms from The Body Shop, I’ve been using them for years! I’ll always repurchase, but I do like their lip butters a bit better.

Carmex Lip Balm* (reviewed here) – This lip balm is amazing, it helps to heal dry chapped lips like no other balm I’ve used! I need to pick up another pot right away J

CoverGirl Smoochies #sweet tweet (reviewed here) – I just flew through this lip balm! This shade is perfect for a daily balm because it gives just a hint of colour and shimmer.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Liner #13 Matte Black* (Reviewed here) - This is one of my all time favourite liquid liners! I use liquid liner almost everyday on my upper lash line, and this tube still lasted me months and months. I liked that this was easy to apply, and it was long-wearing and it didn't smudge or flake off

Sephora + Pantone Universe Light Flicker Mascara* (reviewedhere) – I absolutely loved this mascara for about the first month, but then it got quite clumpy.

Sensodyne Toothpaste - I like to reach for this formula whenever I'm whitening my teeth, as they can get quite sensitive. I like to switch between Sensodyne and my regular everyday toothpaste from Crest or Colgate.

Orlane Vitalizing Scrub sample - This product was nice, but it wasn't anything amazing and it didn't wow me. I won't be buying the full size.

BareMinerals Lip Color in Panache sample - I loved this formula! It felt really creamy on my lips, and the colour was beautiful for Fall.

So that has been a glimpse into the trash that I've accumulated over this past month! I would love to know what products you've been using up lately, and whether you would repurchase them or not! :)

    1. I know, isn't it crazy how many things I go through! I just tend to stick to one product until I use it up and then move on to the next one! :)

  2. luckily Lord of Misrule is around for the holidays too so shouldn't be a problem finding it, it's really great though I may have to grab another one before it's gone. Can't believe you already finished your smoochies! I still haven't tried one but I'll have to grab a shade eventually :)

What a great batch of empties! You are really finishing products up! Hopefully I can focus a bit better and get some empties for November, I tend to flutter between products a lot lately so I can review them.

    1. Oh I totally forgot that Lord of Misrule is around for a bit longer, that's great! I used that shade of Smoochies as a daily lip balm, so I did go through it quite quickly!

    1. Aha! I know, I go through a ton! But I do tend to stick to one product at a time, so I go through products quicker that way :)

  4. I should really do the same. Got so many half used things which are probably not good to use now.

  5. I have tried both of your Bath and Body Works scented candles. I love the scents and too bad they don't make those anymore. That's the thing with B&BW, if you like one scent, better buy backups as it may not come back next season. I just hauled a few(see my post)

    1. I know, it's really too bad that most of their scents are limited edition! Hopefully they'll bring back the Apple Crumble scent one day :)
