St. Tropez Skin Illuminator Gold

We all know St. Tropez as a tanning brand, but I was really happy to find out that they have a highlighter in their lineup! St. Tropez's Skin Illuminator Gold* ($27 CAD) is a beautiful golden liquid highlighter that you can use on your cheekbones, legs, and décolletage.

"Use this illuminator to give your face and body a glamorous golden sheen and a natural tan effect. Create a deep, dark 70's look, or blend with a moisturizer for a subtle daytime iridescence.

Suggested Usage:
-Blend a small amount on the upper cheekbone to add definition and luminosity.
-Sweep on the top of the collarbone and your décolletage to accentuate your natural or sunless tan.
-Use sparingly down the front of your shins and upper thigh to give the appearance of longer legs." - Sephora

St. Tropez's Skin Illuminator Gold initially looks like a white cream, but it blends into the skin really easily, leaving a beautiful golden sheen. I've mixed this into my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, which creates a beautiful natural looking glow. I also like to add a hint of this highlighter to my cheekbones after I've applied my foundation and blush. I'm sure you could also mix this in with your moisturizer in the morning!

This highlighter looks gorgeous on cheekbones, and it gives off a similar effect as NARS' Albatross (reviewed here). I think golden based highlighters are my favourite, they seem to compliment my skin tone really well. This illuminator is quite bold, so I wouldn't recommend this to someone who likes a subtle glow. Although mixing it into your foundation does dilute the sheen. Although this product is from St. Tropez, it doesn't have any self-tanning properties.

This 1.6oz tube will last me ages! If you're in the market for a new highlighter, definitely check this one out! I haven't heard too many reviews on it, but I do think that it deserves more attention in the beauty world. Have you tried St. Tropez's Skin Illuminator Gold before? What is your go-to highlighter? :)
