Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipstick - Inspired

Today I have another lip stick to share with you that came in Sephora's Give Me More Lip set that I bought about a month ago now. Tarte's Glamazon Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipsticks ($34 CAD) have been on my wishlist for ages, so I was really excited to see the shade Inspired in this set.

Pictured above is sample size!

These Glamazon Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipsticks come packaged in a fake-wood tube with a colour-matched design on the front. I personally really do like this packaging, but I know that it might not be to everyone's taste!

"Achieve rich, vivid, and long-wearing color that applies smoothly and won’t fade away. Always hydrating and never drying, this high-cushion lipstick keeps lips moisturized all day long, minimizes the appearance of fine lines, and stops feathering in its tracks to give lips a perfect, plumped-up appearance. Thanks to nature’s most perfect ingredient, Amazonian clay, fade-free color stays in place all day, so there’s no need to continuously reapply or worry about smudging and budging. Amazonian clay also restores the lips’ natural moisture-content with nourishing and hydrating properties, imparting amazing color and restoring skin’s wellness." - Sephora

The shade Inspired is a dusty rose with slight purple undertones. I think that this shade is absolutely beautiful, and it's one of those no-brainer lipsticks. You can throw on this lip stick with almost any eye or blush look, it's so universal. I find that I can also apply this shade without a mirror, which is always a major bonus. I find this formula to be fairly hydrating, but it isn't the creamiest formula that I've tried. However, this lip stick is very long-wearing (although not the full 12 hours that Tarte promises). I find that this colour lasts about 5-6 hours on my lips, and the hydration wears off after about 3 hours. Once this lipstick is on your lips, it won't travel off your lips or onto your teeth. I don't know what it is about Amazonian clay, but I really love both Tarte's blushes and now their lipsticks with this ingredient!

Have you tried any of Tarte's Glamazon Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipsticks before? They are very pricey, and you're only getting 0.07 oz in a full size tube (a MAC lipstick is 0.1oz, MUFE's Rouge Artist Intense are 0.l2oz, for reference). I have my eyes on the shades Wild, Foxy, and Playful. Should I pick up one of these shades during Sephora's VIB sale?
