The Body Shop Carbon Eye Definer - Purple

Happy Black Friday everyone! Have you been up since the crack of dawn chasing sales? :) I took advantage of some of Sephora's $12 deals, which I'll do a haul on once they arrive! I would love to know what great deals you've found.

I'm very new to The Body Shop's cosmetics range, but lately I have been trying out their Carbon Eye Definer in the shade Purple* ($13.50 CAD). I'm a big eyeliner junkie, and I always love to try out different brands and formulas. I almost always wear a black liquid liner on my upper lash line, but I do like to add a pop of colour on my lower lash line.

"Emphasize your eyes with a long-lasting, blendable eye liner.
  • Natural waxes help to enable smooth, easy application while moisturizing and conditioning delicate eye skin." - The Body Shop
This eye liner from The Body Shop comes with the pencil on one end and a smudger on the other. I do find that the formula of this eye liner to be a bit on the drier side, but it still does have good pigment. You can create either a very thin or thick line with this eye liner, which I really like. The colour of this liner is a deep eggplant, and I love that you can always tell that it's purple and not black. This liner stays on all day long on my lower lash line, but I don't have oily lids at all and generally don't have any issues with my eyeliner smudging or fading.

While I do like this eye liner formula, I do prefer a creamier, softer pencil. Though if you have oily lids, this might be perfect for you. Have you tried any eye liners from The Body Shop before? I'm really interested in the Eye Definer from The Body Shop, they have some great colours in that line! Also, are you a fan of liquid liner or pencil liners? Let me know in a comment below! :)
