Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Naked

A small sample of Urban Decay;s Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Naked ($23 CDN/0.34oz.) came with their Naked 2 palette, and I've recently rediscovered it! This formula claims to cool and plump your lips while providing a great colour payoff. Naked is a beautiful shimmery pinky-neutral shade.

"You want a super-shiny gloss, but can't stand the sticky texture? Get your shine fix with Lip Junkie. The soft, cushiony texture goes on smoothly and stays put longer than other glosses. You also get a great color payout (sometimes hard to find in a gloss) and a range of amazing shades, including sheer, pretty neutrals, knockout brights, and a glimmering nearly black. The range of textures and shades will hook even the most jaded junkie. The key ingredient, Maxi-Lip™, plumps the appearance of lips an average of 40% when used daily for a month. (Lip Junkie uses non-irritant plumpers, unlike other glosses that use stinging ingredients to inflame your lips.) The Maxi-Lip actually helps your lips become better defined, super-hydrated, and full. And the flavor? Think yummy wedding mints: a sweet vanilla mint with a little zing that makes breath feel fresh." - Sephora

Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Naked

Urban Decay's Lip Junkie Lipgloss feels incredibly smooth and silky on the lips. The vanilla-mint scent is really nice, and not too overpowering like some mint glosses can be. Urban Decay does say that this lip gloss helps to plump your lips, but I honestly haven't noticed any difference in my lips. However, my lips are already on the larger side, so this might work for someone with thinner lips. I love that this gloss didn't give my lips that tingling, uncomfortable feeling!

The shade Naked is a beautiful rosy nude with a ton of shimmer. I really like layering Naked over top of nude lipsticks, but it's also very nice and natural looking worn by itself. The shimmer is very nice and not too overwhelming. This formula is creamy and not sticky at all, and I find that it wears for about 3-4 hours on my lips - quite good for a lip gloss!

This gloss gives a fairly subtle look to your lips, but I really like it! Have you tried any of Urban Decay's Lip Junkie Lipglosses? I'm definitely a lip junkie, so it's no wonder I like this gloss - lol! I've had this sample size for quite some time now, so I'm trying to use it up. Expect it to be in an empties post soon! :)

  3. So fun finishing things, especially lip products :) I got one of these in a palette as well (dangerous maybe?) but haven't tried it yet, I'm forcing myself to at least hit pan on another palette before going into my UD goodies.
