Bioderma Sébium Foaming Gel

I've been trying out a new cleanser lately, and I've really been enjoying it! Bioderma's Sébium Foaming Gel* is a gel cleanser aimed at oily or combination skin types. My skin isn't particularly oily or dry, but I do get the occasional breakout that I like to keep under control.

" Formulated with non-irritant substances, Sébium Foaming gel cleanses gently.

Sébium Foaming gel reduces sebum secretion and purifies the epidermis thanks to the Fluidactiv® sebum-correcting complex. It also regulates sebum quality.

Its soap-free, washing base guarantees good cutaneous and ocular tolerance.

Sébium Foaming gel is non-comedogenic." - Bioderm

This cleanser from Bioderma comes in a hand bottle packaging with a pump. The name suggests that this cleanser foams up, but I wouldn't actually describe it in that way. This gel formula feels nice on my skin, and it lathers a bit, but I wouldn't say that it creates a foam. That doesn't bother me at all though. This cleanser has a slightly fruity scent to it, which I actually really like! It smells like Bioderma's Sébium Global (reviewed here), which I've almost completely use up.

I've been keeping my bottle of Bioderma Sébium Foaming Gel in my shower, and I use it nightly to cleanse my face. In the mornings I use a separate cleanser on my Clarisonic. This cleanser doesn't remove makeup too well, so I do make sure to use my Bioderma cleansing water before actually washing my face. While using this cleanser, I haven't experienced any new breakouts, which I'm really happy about. However, I haven't found that this cleanser has done anything to help heal any existing breakouts. So, I'm hoping that once I'm completely clear, this cleanser will be great to help my skin in perfect condition!

Overall, am I quite impressed with this cleanser. I wouldn't say that it's a miracle worker, and it won't clear up cystic acne, but it does a good job at controlling oils, and it feels nice on my skin. I only use a half pump per use, so the 200ml bottle should last me quite a while. Have you tried out Bioderma's Sébium Foaming Gel before? What cleanser are you currently using? :)

  1. Id love to try this! im kind of scared of trying anything from bioderma after disliking their makeup remover.. maybe I'll give them another shot!

    1. Did you have an allergic reaction to the makeup remover or did you just not like it? If it was the latter, I'd say give this one a shot! :)

  2. This sounds really nice! Great for controlling oil :)
