Marc Jacobs Dot EDP

Happy Boxing Day! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas, I know that I did. My boyfriends' family came to visit, and it was really great to spend some time with them. I can't believe that Christmas is already over, and now I'm looking forward to New Years!

If you have some gift cards from Christmas, and you're wanting to pick up a new fragrance, you might want to check out Marc Jacob's Dot* ($105 CAD/100ml). This fragrance comes packaged in a beautiful and over-the-top bottle, as we've come to expect from Marc Jacobs' fragrances. I will admit that the large cap is somewhat difficult to grip onto and remove from the bottle. However, I still do love the way that this bottle looks on my vanity.

Marc Jacobs Dot EDP Packaging

"Surprising and effervescent, energetic and alive—DOT by Marc Jacobs captures a charming, upbeat spirit with timeless sophistication. Simple and straightforward in statement, exuberant and feminine in design, DOT is a colorful Marc Jacobs creation that comes full circle with a balance of modernity and elegance.
The exuberant top captivates with a delectable blend of red berries, succulent dragonfruit, and sweet honeysuckle. The lush floral heart of the fragrance blooms with the addictive beautiful jasmine, mingled with energizing notes of coconut water and orange blossom. The scent rounds out with a feminine dry down of creamy vanilla, driftwood, and sensual musks.

Round, feminine, and chic, DOT makes her mark with a colorful design statement. Boldly fashioned with an unexpected touch of spontaneity, the eye-catching bottle is a cheerful composition of round shapes stylishly spotted in a polka dot motif. Inspired by his love of this iconic pattern, Marc Jacobs designed the bottle to celebrate the timeless chic of this much loved symbol while adding an animated pop of energy, charm, and spirit. Happy and upbeat, the oversized, butterfly-inspired cap flaunts a chic play of proportions, while the collar is wrapped with gold coil for a touch of luxe detail.

Notes: Red Berries, Dragonfruit, Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Coconut Water, Orange Blossom, Vanilla, Driftwood, Musk.
Style: Chic. Energetic. Upbeat." - Sephora

Marc Jacobs Dot EDP

Marc Jacobs's Dot is a beautiful fragrance that combines floral, fruity, and sweet notes. At first, this fragrance is quite fruity, and I can definitely detect the berry notes. Then, the scent develops, and you can start to notice the vanilla and jasmine notes. I love the way that Dot smells on my skin, it's not offensive or overpowering at all. Some days I want my perfume to be a bit stronger, but I mostly like for my fragrance to be slightly more subtle. Even though this scent isn't overpowering, it still does stick around for the better part of the day. I find that Dot lasts on my skin for about 7 hour before I need to reapply. This is a fragrance that I would wear year round, and I prefer to wear it during the day. I normally reach for something a bit heavier or deeper for the night.

If you're in the market for a new scent, and you've been a fan of Marc Jacobs' fragrances in the past, you'll want to give Dot a sniff. I don't think that I've met a Marc Jacobs' fragrance that I haven't loved! Aside from the beautiful bottle, the scent held inside is light, fresh, and fun! Have you tried Marc Jacobs' Dot yet? Did you receive any fragrances for Christmas? :)

  1. The Dot has been on my wishlist for months. I'm sure I'll get it when summer comes. I wonder if this has occured to you, but to me it smells mostly like watermelon, and that's why I associate it with summer heat so strongly
