Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint - Energy

I've surprisingly been gravitating towards pale pink lip products lately, while I'm normally all about reds and berries this time of year. Tarte's LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint in Energy ($29 CAD/0.1oz) is a lip product that goes on clear, but changes and adapts with your body heat, transforming into your perfect shade of pink!

"What it is: A lip tint that delivers a personalized shade of pink and a proprietary blend of plant bionutrients, vitamins, and essential oils.

What it does: Like all LipSurgence™ lip tints, this one combines pure color with natural moisturizers and glides on smooth for a sheer finish. The ethereal hue complements every skintone to deliver a natural-looking glow and brighter complexion—customized just for you! The skintuitive™ formula responds to your skin’s natural pH and energy, giving you a personalized tint that is truly your own unique shade of pink. Bonus: you can bump up the intensity of the color with an extra swipe." - Sephora

This is what Tarte's LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint in Energy looks like on my lips! I find it to be a light baby pink, but I've seen it look a lot darker on other peoples lips. To be truthful, I'm normally not a huge fan of these types of mood lipsticks. However, I really love the shade that Energy transforms into on my lips. I really do think that this shade is flattering on my skin tone, I'm kind of amazed! This product comes in twist up packaging just like Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains or Clinique's Chubby Sticks. I find this formula from Tarte to be very hydrating and creamy, and I only need to reapply every 4 hours or so. This product does have a minty scent to it, but it doesn't make your lips feel tingly.

I just have a sample size of this lipstick that was included in Tarte value set, and I know that this little tube won't last me too much longer. I do want to purchase the full size tube, but the $29 price tag keeps putting me off. Have you tried Tarte's LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint in Energy before? What shade of pink does this product turn into on your lips? Are you a fan of "mood lipsticks"? :)

  3. I have to try this one again. I swatched it while at Sephora, but it turned too cool of a pink for my like on my hand.

  4. I love these "mood lipsticks"! Or maybe I'm just into cheap gimmicks, but I just think that's such a cool idea! I tried this once at Sephora and ended up really enjoying the shade on me.
