Bath & Body Works Velvet Sugar Body Lotion

Bath & Body Works has (somewhat) recently reformulated their range of body lotions so that they are now infused with shea and vitamin E. I've recently picked up a bottle of their Velvet Sugar Body Lotion ($12.50 CAD/236ml), and I thought that I'd share my thoughts on it with you!

"America's #1 Body Lotion just got better! With 2 x the moisture and 3 x the Shea, our enhanced lotion contains more of what skin loves, leaving it feeling incredibly soft, smooth and nourished. Fortified with nutrient-rich ingredients like protective Vitamin E and fast absorbing Jojoba Oil, our ultra-nourishing formula delivers 16 hours of continuous moisture.
Savor every moment as you indulge in this sweetly sumptuous blend of red velvet créme and golden plum laced with a swirl of sugared musk, pink jasmine and wild strawberries. Too much is never enough." - Bath & Body Works

I really love the new packaging of these body lotions - the rose toned cap is a nice added detail. This body lotion formula from Bath & Body Works offers a nice light amount of hydration that sinks into my skin quickly. I like to use this formula in the mornings, since I can get dressed quickly after applying. The Velvet Sugar scent is really nice, it's a nice mix of berry and jasmine. This scent can seem a bit strong in the bottle, but it sinks into my skin nicely and just leaves a nice light layer of scent on my skin. I honestly don't notice a huge difference in this newly reformulated body lotion formula, but I do still like it.

Have you tried out Bath & Body Works' Velvet Sugar scent? This is a new scent to the line, and I'm not sure whether or not it's limited edition. The packaging is super cute, and if you like jasmine scents then I think you'll really enjoy this fragrance. If you're looking for something a bit more hydrating, check out Bath & Body Works' Triple Moisture Body Cream range!

  5. Great review! I am somewhat obsessed with Bath & Body Works and have A LOT of their lotions (among other things). I definitely do see a positive improvement in their new lotions. They are even more moisturizing and I find don't fade away as quickly throughout the day. I feel like the new formulation almost matches the triple moisture editions.

    1. Thank you! Oh great! This is the only lotion that I've used with the new formula, so maybe I have to test out a few more of the scents :)
