It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of liquid eyeliners, and I always love trying out new formulas. I know that a lot of people are scared of liquid liners, but I tend to prefer them over pencil liners. I find that liquid liners can give a blacker colour, a glossier finish, and a more precise winged look. I've been trying Benefit's Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner* ($24 CAD/0.08oz) for a few weeks, and it's about time that I've shared my thoughts on it with you!
A jet-black, liquid eyeliner with maximum staying power.
What it does:
This highly pigmented, smudge-proof liquid liner is not for the faint of heart. With its tiny, tapered brush, liner goes on smoothly for precise application and drama that lasts." - Sephora
I haven't heard too much about Benefit's Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner in the beauty community, but for some reason it always caught my eyes while browsing Sephora's site. I love Benefit's packaging, it's always so cute and right up my alley. Their Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner comes in a cute little black bottle with green lettering. This liner only comes in one shade- Jet Black. The brush on this liner is very tiny, which I both love and hate. The small brush makes it very easy to draw on a thin line and to create a winged look. I find it fairly easy to draw on this liner, it doesn't tug or pull on my lids. However, if you wanted a bit of a thicker line, this liner isn't for you. I find it quite hard to create a thick line with this thin brush, as it takes a bit of time to build up the line.
The colour of this liner is in fact jet black, and it dries to a fairly glossy finish, which I love! This liner dries pretty quickly, and I haven't had any issues with it budging, flaking, or fading throughout the day. This liner wear on my lids for about 10 hours, but that's fairly typical for my eyes. I only ever wear liquid liners on my upper lash line, so I haven't tried this out anywhere else. This formula hasn't irritated my eyes at all, and my eyes can be quite sensitive at times! This formula stays put all day, but it removes easy at the end of the night with a swipe of Bioderma.
If you're looking for a jet black liquid liner to help create a thin line, definitely check out Benefit's Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner. I don't think that this liner is a must have, but I do really like it. have you tried Benefit's Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner before? Are you a fan of liquid liners, or do you prefer pencil, kohl, or gel? :)
Ooh I like how dark it is but it creates such a crisp, clean line! Must try this!

Oh you would love this! :)
DeleteI've not heard of this before, sounds great! Bit pricey for a liquid liner but if it stays put it's well worth it x

Delete...I didn't even know about t his liner! ._. (I don't think I've even seen it around, or maybe I haven't been paying attention)
ReplyDeleteThe packaging is really different from the traditional Benefit packaging, and I really like how thin the lines are!

I know, no one ever talks about it! And the packaging is different from what they normally do, but it's still a bit funky :)
