Essence Beauty Beats Blush - Groupie at Heart

Essence had released a collaborative collection with Justin Beiber, and I was lucky enough to win a prize pack from Canadian Fashionista! Today I'll be sharing Essence's Beauty Beats Blush in the shade Groupie at Heart ($2.99 CAD) with you. This was my first time trying out anything from Essence, so I was quite excited to do so! :)

The packaging of this blush is definitely geared towards teens and Justin Beiber fans. The powder is embossed with "Boyfriend" in different fonts, and I actually do quite like this effect. The shade Groupie at Heart is a beautiful red with pink undertones. This is a beautiful blush that gives my cheeks the "just in from the cold" effect. Not that I need any help achieving that look naturally - it's so cold here! This formula is very creamy and silky, and the colour glides onto my cheeks effortlessly. I'm really impressed with this blush, and I can't believe that it's only $3! While the colour is quite pigmented, I do find that it fades at about the 6 hour mark and I have to touch up. I can easily get over that for the price though!

Have you tried any products from Essence's Beauty Beats Collection? Now I'm really wanting to try out a few of Essences' blushes from their permanent range! If you have any shade recommendations, please let me know :)

  1. I don't have any Essence blushes (though I love the brand in general) but they always catch my eye. Their nail polish is fantastic too although I don't know about the ones in this collection.

  3. I picked this blush up before Christmas. I've only worn it once or twice, but I like it too. I think they only have 4 blushes in their permanent line, and three of them are really soft pink colors. I own two of those, and they are nice if you are looking for blushes that are practically impossible to overdo. The other permanent color that is relatively new is Life's a Cherry, which is a brighter pink color. They do fade in about the same amount of time as Groupie at Heart, but you are right, they are really good for the price.

I'll also mention that they have nail polish drying drops. I'm not a big nail polish person, but they seem pretty decent. It might be worth looking into.
