Maybelline's Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation comes in black plastic packaging that twists up to reveal the solid foundation. There is a shine-free core that contains powders to absorb oils. My skin stays fairly oil free throughout the day, and I don't often have issues with having to blot midday. However, I do find that this foundation does create such a nice matte base, and I love that affect. I like to rub the foundation stick on my face, and then I'll buff in the product with a brush. You can use your fingers, but I prefer the finish that a brush provides. This foundation blends into my skin beautifully, and it provides a light amount of coverage. I'll wear this foundation on its' own on days when I just want a minimal makeup look. When I want more coverage, I'll use this foundation stick as a base under other BB Creams or foundations. I haven't had any issues with this formula oxidizing on my skin throughout the day, and it lasts for about 8 hours before it starts to fade.
I have heard that some pale girls like to use a darker shade in this range as a contour colour, and I'm really wanting to try that out! The shade 115 Ivory is a great match for my pale skin with yellow/golden undertones. Overall, I do really like Maybelline's Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation for a light amount of coverage that also mattifies my skin. If you're looking for something that offers more coverage, this isn't for you. Have you tried this foundation stick from Maybelline yet? What are your favourite matte foundations?
The contour idea sounds amazing! Haven't tried this foundation and seeing as I like more coverage this won't be my ideal one but an amazing review! xx

I'm really wanting to try contouring with a darker shade, it sounds like it would work really well! :)
DeleteThis foundation has been in my basket sooo many times already, but I've never concluded the purchase. After reading your review it seems to me I need it. Which shade would you recommend for NW20 skin tone?
ReplyDeleteYou should give it a try! I've never tried a MAC foundation, so I'm really not familiar with their shading system - sorry! :(

DeleteI've heard great things on this foundation, glad you liked it! Too bad coverage isn't full as that's how I prefer mine.
