Maybelline has recently launched some new products, including the Master Hi-Light by FaceStudio Hi-lighting blushes ($13.99 CAD/9g)! Today I have the shade Coral* to share with you, which looks like a beautiful mosaic in the pan. There are six shades in the Master Hi-Light lineup, including 4 blushes and 2 bronzers.
"Each light-boosting blush and bronzer palette has an expert balance of 4 shades + shimmer for a natural glow.
Skin goes soft-lit with zero glitz.
4 Blush Combinations for natural-looking color and illumination.
2 Bronzer Combinations for a balanced bronze glow.
Fragrance Free. Non-comedogenic. Suitable for all skin types.
For Best Results:
Brush over all shades in the palette and gently sweep over cheekbones, brow bones, and temples, or anywhere light naturally touches the face." - Maybelline
In the pan, there are four separate shades ranging from a light pearl to a deep coral. When used as a blush, it would be quite hard to use these shades individually, so I like to sweep my blush brush over all four shades and blend together. This product is meant to be a glowy, highlighting blush, and I definitely think that it checks those boxes. This coral shade is a tad on the orange side when all of the shades are blended together. This blush is fairly pigmented, but it definitely isn't the most pigmented blush that I've ever tried. Maybelline's Master Hi-Light in Coral has a smooth, velvety formula, and I didn't experience any powderiness that is quite common with a lot of drugstore blushes. While this does give a glowy look to my skin, I still do find myself reaching for my usual highlighter in addition to this blush. If you are a highlighter buff like myself, this might not offer enough of a glow for you. However, if you just like a bit of a glow, this would be perfect for you! This blush wore for about 6 hours on my cheeks before I needed to touch-up.
Have you spotted any of Maybelline's new Maybelline Master Hi-Lights yet? I'm really wanting to try out the bronzers in this lineup! This is one of the better blushes that I've tried from the drugstore, as I typically find that drugstore blushes are highly lacking. Maybelline has also released their Master Glaze cream blushes, which I will be reviewing this week. At $13.99 CAD, these blushes are a bit pricey for a drugstore blush, but I do really like the glowy effect. Will you be checking out these new Maybelline Master Hi-Lights?
Ooh I saw that at my local CVS and I was hoping you would do a review on it - it looks lovely on you! I'm gonna go pick that up tonight!

Thanks! I know, it is quite pricey for a drugstore blush. But it will go on sale at some point, everything at the drugstore does!
DeleteI'm absolutely gutted, after reading this review a while ago, I went on the hunt to Boots and Superdrug many times and never managed to find this! Must not be available in the UK :( It's such a gorgeous colour though! x

DeleteI love highlighters that mix different shades for a lovely glow, but it doesn't sound as if it's quite doing it... so not sure about this one :o). Xx

This is meant to be more of a glowy blush, not a straight up highlighter! :)
DeleteI really want to try this. Do you know when or if its coming to the UK?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure when it'll get to the UK, but I'm sure it eventually will!
