The Body Shop Shea Beautifying Oil

The Body Shop's Shea Beautifying Oil* ($14 CDN/100ml) is such a great way to battle dry skin in these brutal winter months. I've been really curious about this range of oils ever since they first launched, so I was really excited to try this out on both my body and hair!

"Beautifying Oil is pure beauty in a bottle. Made with a lightweight blend of nut oils including Community Fair Trade marula oil, it gives instant hydration and a shimmering finish. This one has a delicious nutty scent. For body, face and hair A little goes a long way. Delicious nutty scent" - The Body Shop

The Body Shop's Shea Beautifying Oil has that wonderful Shea scent that I really love from this brand! This oil is thin in consistency, and absorbs quickly into my skin. I love to use this oil all over my body right after showering, as it instantly hydrates my skin. The Body Shop's Shea Beautifying Oil leaves my skin with a slight glow, but it definitely doesn't look oily or greasy. The hydration effects last for a full 24 hours, and the Shea scent lingers for an hour or two and then starts to fade. I also like to add a few drops of this oil to my dry hair as a finishing touch. I love how silky this oil makes my hair feel without weighing it down or making it look greasy. This is a great multi-purpose product that I think a lot of people would really enjoy. My only complaint is that I find the cap on this bottle really hard to open, but I suppose that this means the oil isn't likely to leak!

If you're a fan of The Body Shop's Shea line, you need to give this Beautifying Oil a try! If you're not a fan of the shea scent, The Body Shop does make their Beautifying Oil in a ton of different scents. I'm really wanting to try out the Chocomania, Cocoa Butter, and Strawberry scents! Have you tried The Body Shop's Beautifying Oils before? Are you a fan of oils for your hair, face, or body?

  1. I tried the Brazil Nut oil (reviewed: http://chantalscorner.blogspot.ca/2013/08/the-body-shop-brazil-nut-beautifying.html) and OMG it smells delicious! But I found it to be a bit on the oily side though.

    1. The different scents probably have different levels of hydration, but this is the only one I've tried! I've been loving it on my dry Winter skin, and I'm hoping that I'll continue to love it once the weather warms up :)
