Top 13 Beauty Products of 2013

Happy New Year!! I hope you all had an amazing New Years Eve, and I wish you all the best in 2014 :) I'm thinking about writing a New Years Resolutions post, so please let me know whether or not you'd be interested in that! For today's post I thought that I would share my Top 13 Products of 2013, or my 2013 Favourites. I discovered a ton of new products over the past year, so it was really hard to compile this list.

13. Institut Esthederm Intsensif Propolis Serum* (reviewed here) - I've actually just finished off my bottle of this serum, but don't worry - I have a backup on hand! I apply this serum at night before my moisturizer, and I've really found that it's helped heal acne scars and keep my skin in great condition.

12. NARS Albatross (reviewed here) - This has been my go-to highlighter over the past year, and I've actually hit pan and then some! This highlighter looks quite stark in the pan, but once applied it gives the prettiest golden glow to your skin.

11. Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow 809 Petal Shine (reviewed here) - This is my only Dior palette, but I absolutely love it! I use all five shadows in this compact, and they all have a great formula & pigmentation. Being Dior, this was pricey, but it's always nice to have a little luxury in your life :)

10. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (reviewed here) - I may have found my new holy grail foundation! Everyone always raves about this formula, but it took me a while to get around to trying it for myself. This foundation gives a full coverage finish without looking cakey or over the top. I just love the flawless finish that this foundation gives to my skin. If you haven't tried this out yet, I highly recommend giving it a go!

9. Ojon Revitalizing Mist (reviewed here) - I bought this product on a whim, and I'm so happy that I did! I love the scent of this spray, and it does stick around for a few hours. I spray this into my damp or dry hair to add a shot of hydration. This formula isn't oily or greasy, and it doesn't weight down my hair.

8. NARS' Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Campo De'Fiori (reviewed here) - I love adding this gold eyeliner onto my lower lash line. This formula from NARS is extremely long wearing, and it would be perfect for anyone with oily lids. I'm really wanting to try out the black shade in this formula!

7. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Tipsy (reviewed here) - I absolutely love the Amazonian Clay formula from Tarte, and I own a bunch of these blushes. The shade Tipsy is a beautiful coral that I got a ton of wear out of this Spring and Summer. I find that this shade is very wearable, even though it can look a bit bright in the pan. If you haven't tried any of these blushes before, you're missing out!

6. MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Finish* (reviewed here) - I've been using this powder for almost all of 2013, and although its' marketed as a foundation, I like to use it as a finishing powder. For a full coverage, flawless look, I start with Estee Lauder's Double Wear Foundation, and finish with MUFE's Pro Finish. This powder doesn't look cakey at all, and it adds a nice amount of coverage.

5. MAC Lustreglass in Star Nova (reviewed here) - I picked this up while I was in New York earlier this year, and I've been loving it ever since! This shade is perfect to wear on its' own, or to pair over berry or nude lip sticks. I love the shine and shimmer in this formula, it's just so pretty!

4. St. Tropez Everyday Gradual Tan for Body* (reviewed here) - I used this a lot in the Summer to help maintain any natural tan that I had. I'm still using it now into the Winter months to give my skin a nice glow, since I hate looking pasty! I use the shade Medium to Dark, and I apply it every 3 days or so. This leaves my skin with a nice amount of colour that still looks natural and never streaky.

3. Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins (reviewed here) - This moisturizer is super thick and hydrating, and it gives my skin a boost of moisture right before I go to sleep. Every morning when I wake up my skin feels plump and refreshed. If you have drier skin, or just like to pamper yourself, you need to check this out!

2. Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment* (reviewed here) - I've discovered my love for hair oils this year, and this one from Macadamia has gotten a lot of love! This oil leaves my hair feeling silky smooth, reduces frizz, and doesn't make my hair feel or look oily. This oil also smells amazing!

1. Almay Liquid Lip Balm in Lilac Love (reviewed here) - I absolutely love this new formula from Almay, it's so hydrating and creamy! The shade Lilac Love is a nice pinky-purple that offers a sheer colour payoff. I haven't gotten around to trying out any other shades from this line, but I'm really wanting to! :)

So there you have it, my Top 13 Beauty Products of 2013! Do we share any favourites? I'm really excited to see what 2014 has in store for me... I wonder what products will make it into my 2014 Favourites! I would love it if you left me a comment letting me know what products you've been loving over the past year :)

  1. There's nothing like Dior palettes. I must admit that I have had some issues with the pigmentation, but I don't CARE, the shades are fabulous and I love wearing Dior :o). Xx

    1. I think that this one has perfect pigmentation, but I have heard that some of Dior's palettes are lacking. But still, the packaging alone is beautiful! :)

    1. It's beautiful! Definitely give it a swatch :)

  3. Great round up! That nars liner looks gorgeous! :)

    1. It's really pretty! I only have a bit left of it, I'll be sad to see it go!
