January 2014 Favourites

It's that time of the month again... favourites! Today I'll be sharing all of my absolutely favourite products from the month of January. January was a good month, but I'm always happy to see January go by as that means that we're one month closer to Spring! It's still insanely cold here in Ottawa, and I'll be really happy to see all of this snow melt away. February should be a good month, it's my birthday on the 11th! I'm celebrating by taking a trip to Montreal with some of my girl friends, and I couldn't be more excited! Enough rambling, let's get on to my monthly favourites!

Josie Maran Argan Balm (reviewed here) - This is one of those products that I'll use for a while & love, but then for whatever reason I'll put it away and use something else. I like to use this on my cuticles, on the ends of my hair, and even as a lip balm. This is a great multi-purpose product, and I love that it's made with argan oil!

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color in Amethyst - I've recently rediscovered this cream shadow stick in my collection, and I've been loving it! Amethyst is a beautiful shimmery mauve that works well under purple, brown, or pink toned eye shadows. I really love this formula as it stays all day & doesn't crease on my lids!

Radical Skincare Instant Revitalizing Mask* (reviewed here) - This face mask is just so fun to use! This formula bubbles up all over your face, and then it leaves you with a tingling sensation as the bubbles slowly dissolve. I've never tried anything like this, and I've really been enjoying it!

Stila In the Moment Palette - I've reached for this eye shadow palette so many times this month, the purple shades are super pretty! I really love the formula of Stila's shadows, they're so creamy, pigmented, and long-wearing. These shades also pair really well with Laura Mercier's Caviar Stick in Amethyst!

Bath & Body Works Sea Island Cotton Body Lotion (reviewed here) - This scent is so crisp and clean, I really, really love it! I feel like this is a scent that often gets overlooked at Bath & Body Works because it might seem a bit boring, but I highly recommend that you give it a try!

Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Radiant - This lip gloss is just beautiful! I really love this berry/mauve shimmery shade, and the formula is very comfortable to wear. I bought this as a part of a lip gloss set for the holidays, and this has been my favourite shade so far!

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush* (reviewed here) - This brush has been amazing for applying liquid foundation! I really love the shape of this brush, and the bristles are quite densely packed but still nice and soft. This brush makes my foundation apply flawlessly, what more could you want!?

Annabelle Mineral Pigment Dust in Golden Pink* (reviewed here) - This loose pigment is incredibly beautiful, and I'm really impressed with the pigmentation and staying power! This is a shade that I can wear on its' own all over my lids, or on top of other shadows for a bit of added intensity. This shade actually works really well with the shades in Urban Decays Naked 3 Palette!

Veet Face Precision Wax & Care* (reviewed here) - I've been using this about once a week to wax my eyebrows, and I really, really love it! This wax is almost painless to use, and it's also super easy. I find that this takes less time than if I were to pluck my brows, and it's less painful.

So there you have it, all of my favourite beauty products from the month of January! I would love to know if we share any favourites, and also what products you've been loving lately. Do you have any exciting plans for February? :)

  1. Awesome faves! That Annabelle pigment looks beautiful :)

  2. That's a great set of favourites! I spy some of my favourite brands in there as well, albeit different're giving me some ideas! I can't wait to try out more of Josie Maran's collection, in particular.

    1. Thank you! I love all of the Josie Maran products that I've tried so far, it's definitely a brand that I want to try more of! :)
