Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm officially on spring break from uni, and I'm heading to Montreal today with a few friends for the weekend. My boyfriend and I don't generally celebrate Valentine's Day - we aren't opposed to it, but it's never been a huge deal for us. Whatever your plans are for today, I hope you have an amazing time! :)

I recently ran out of my jar of Origins' Night-a-Mins, and I turned to my stash for a replacement night moisturizer. I stumbled upon my bottle of Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil ($58 CDN/1.7 oz), and I've fallen back in love with it! I can't believe that I haven't reviewed this yet, since I have owned my bottle for quite a while... I originally bought this argan oil to help with my eczema, but it has so many more uses!

"This 100% Pure Argan Oil is a legendary oil that's rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, and grown organically in Morocco. With its multitasking benefits, Argan Oil can be used for many areas including hydrating and nourishing skin, as a daily moisturizer, skin treatment, treating spilt ends, and softening cuticles. It's gentle enough to use on all skin types and is believed to help with skin conditions including acne. Argan Oil easily absorbs into skin to give you a youthful, dewy glow, and has astonishing healing, conditioning, and antiaging properties to keep your skin and hair nourished and revitalized and to keep you looking beautiful from head to toe." - Sephora

Josie Maran's 100% Pure Argan Oil comes packaged in a dark glass bottle with a dropper applicator. You want your oils to be stored in dark glass containers, as this will help to better preserve the product. The argan oil itself is clear, and it is fairly thick in consistency. I don't find that there's too much of this oil, and I think that it would be good even for sensitivity skin types. I've really been enjoying using this argan oil as a facial moisturizer at night. I wouldn't recommend using this in the morning, as this on the heavier side. Josie Maran does make a light version of this oil though! I also love using this argan oil on my cuticles, in my hair, and on my hands at night. Tip - after applying this oil to your hair or face, rub whatever is leftover into your hands! This hasn't broken me out at all, which I know is a lot of people's biggest concern about oils. When used on my face at night, my skin feels hydrated and plump for a full 24 hours. I would say that this oil takes about 5-10 minutes to fully sink in to my skin.

Have you tried out Josie Maran's 100% Pure Argan Oil before? If you've never tried using an oil on your face before, I highly recommend giving it a try (especially in the colder months)! I've really loved all of Josie Maran's products that I've tried, and I'm wanting to try out more from her skin care & cosmetics line. If you have any product recommendations, I would love to hear them!

  4. This has just started appearing on QVC over here and I was weighing up whether to pick up for the cold harsh weather we're having at the moment.

Have a great break with your friends.

  6. I've been using this a couple times a week as a moisturizer and it's really nice! I was surprised how long it takes to fully sink in to the skin (my Tarte Maracuja oil seems to sink in so fast) which at first concerned me that it would break me out! But I've really been liking it! Great review!

    1. It does take a few minutes to fully sink in, but I really don't mind & I love how hydrating it is! I have a sample of the Tarte oil, but I haven't tried it out yet. I'll need to do that soon! :)
