Lancôme Rouge in Love Lipcolour - 340B Rose Boudoir

Rewind a few years ago and I hardly owned any lipsticks, as I thought that they were too much of a hassle and only for "grown ups". I would have said that I preferred lip glosses, but now that preference is changing. Now I love a good quality lipstick with great pigmentation that's also comfortable to wear. I've been loving Lancôme's Rouge in Love Lipcolour in the shade 340B Rose Boudoir* ($30 CDN/0.12 oz), which is a lightweight lipstick that is very easy to apply and wear.

"What it is: A high-potency, featherweight lip color that lasts up to six hours.

What it does: This radiant lip color lasts for hours, has the look of a brilliant gloss but delivers the comfort and soothing qualities of a balm. Categorized by mood, the collection includes: "Jolis Matins” or "pretty morning," a range of ready-to-wear, fresh day shades that add brilliance to the lips due to the precious mother-of-pearls; “Boudoir Time,” trendy, punchy, evening-appropriate "it" shades that give color to the lips thanks to the intense contrasted mother-of-pearls; and “Tonight is My Night,” sophisticated, pure intense shades to give depth to lips for a deep lacquered effect and luminous color created by gold mother-of-pearl.

What else you need to know: This product provides medium to full coverage and high color pay-off. Long-wearing color is formulated with a new generation of polymer. Shiny silicon creates brilliance of a gloss.

Shades can be identified by a letter in the shade number that denotes each of the three categories: "Jolis Matins" shades are identified with the letter M, "Bourdoir Time" shades are identified with the letter B, and "Tonight is My Night" shades are identified with the letter N in the shade number." - Sephora

Lancôme's Rouge in Love Lipcolours come packaged in beautiful silver/mirrored packaging with red "Rouge in Love" lettering. The packaging is quite simple, but I think that it's also very sophisticated and attractive. The shade 340B Rose Boudoir is a beautiful pinky coral colour that is fairly bright. I know that I'll be getting a lot of use out of this shade come Spring and Summer! I've really been loving all things pink and coral lately, and this shade fits perfectly into that obsession! This lipstick is fairly pigmented, but it can be applied a bit more sheer if you wanted. I really love the almost glossy finish that this lipstick gives to my lips, and it's so comfortable to wear! I wore this out yesterday, and even after about an hour in the cold, snowy, and windy weather, this lipstick was still going strong & glossy. Lancôme Rouge in Love Lipcolour feels like you're wearing a glossy balm, which I really love! This formula hydrates my lips & doesn't settle into any dry patches. In total, I'm able to wear this lipstick for about 5 hours before I need to reapply, which I was really happy about! Even at that time, the colour was still on my lips but the glossy & hydrating properties had worn off.

Note: On Sephora's site, it shows a rose stamped into the bullet of this lipstick,
however tube does not have this detail!

If you're looking for a creamy, glossy lipstick that you don't have to pair with another lip gloss, I highly recommend checking out Lancôme Rouge in Love Lipcolours. The shade range looks like it includes something for everyone, and I'm really interested in trying out the shades 353M Roses in Love, 377N Midnight Rose, and 170N Sequence of Love. If you have any shade recommendations, please let me know in a comment below! Have you tried any of Lancôme's Rouge in Love Lipcolours before? :)
