Montagne Jeunesse Dark Chocolate Mud Face Masque

I'm a huge "masker", and lately I've been testing out Montagne Jeunesse's Dark Chocolate Mud Face Masque* ($5.49/100g). Unlike a lot of Montagne Jeunesse's face masks that come in single-use packets, this one comes in a bottle! I love this packaging because it's more cost-effective and it's still easy to travel with (I took it to Montreal last weekend!).

"Montagne Jeunesse Dark Chocolate Deep Cleansing Mud Masque (100g). Indulge in Dark Chocolate! Moisturizing Cocoa and Shea Butters infused with Sweet Orange Oil and Dead Sea Salt help deep cleanse and nourish your skin.
If you love all things natural, you will adore this extensive range of beauty treats for face, feet, hair and body by Montagne Jeunesse!

Montagne Jeunesse's Dark Chocolate Mud Face Masque has a great chocolate scent to it - as the name would suggest. However, there's also a slight orange twist on this scent, which I absolutely love. This mask is meant to deeply cleanse your skin while also hydrating. I do highly recommend giving the bottle a good shake before using, as the contents can slightly separate. I apply a thin layer of this chocolately mask all over my face & neck, and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Being a clay mask, this formula will harden slightly on your face, but it never becomes uncomfortable. I then wash off this mask, which does require a good facial cleanser. I can definitely tell that this mask cleans out my pores, so it'll be great for anyone with oily skin! I did find my skin feeling a bit tight afterwards, so be sure to have a good moisturizer on hand.

Overall, I really love how this mask cleanses and purifies my skin! If you have dry or very dry skin, I wouldn't recommend this mask to you. However, anyone with normal or oily skin might love this mask! Are you a "masker"? Have you tried any masks from Montagne Jeunesse - if so, which ones are your favourites? :)

  1. ohh ! I don't think I've ever seen this bottle format from them, that sounds great, like you said, much more cost effective although it is fun to try out all their individual "flavours" as well. I am unsure about chocolate and orange on my face though, but this sounds like a great mask when your skin is really out of control.
