Neutrogena Hydrating Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion

My boyfriends' sister, Lana, recently visited and she mentioned that she had a new eye makeup remover that she loved! I always love getting recommendations from friends & family, especially when it's followed by "it's so good, you should review it on your blog!" - that's how I know it's a well loved product. The much loved product was Neutrogena's Hydrating Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion, which I've never used before.

"This lightweight cleansing lotion gently dissolves hard to remove eye make-up – even waterproof mascara – while conditioning and moisturizing the eye area. Plus, a replenishing hydrating blend with cucumber and aloe extracts smoothes the look of dry lines and puffiness on your skin." - Neutrogena

Neutrogena's Hydrating Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion comes packaged in a small blue plastic tube, making it really easy to travel with. The product itself is a white cream-gel that has a very mild scent to it. To use, just take a pea sized amount and rub in over your closed eyes. I don't use waterproof mascara, but Lana does and she said that this removes even the toughest of makeup. This makeup remover took off my mascara, eyeliner, and eye shadow easily. After a few seconds of gentle rubbing, just wash away the remainder. This product doesn't leave an oily residue on my skin, and it is very gentle & non-irritating.

Thanks for the recommendation Lana! If you're looking for a comparable product to Bioderma's Hydrabio Lait, then I think that this more affordable option from Neutrogena is perfect. Have you tried Neutrogena's Hydrating Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion before? What do you use to remove stubborn waterproof mascara?

  1. This looks amazing! How does it fare against waterproof makeup? The only thing that will make my lashes stay up is a good waterproof formula but I have the hardest time getting it off so that's important to me when choosing a new eye makeup remover.

  5. I've been using a cream makeup removed lately (Nivea), and it's pretty good. Maybe it's a cream remover trait in general? I might grab this next time to compare.

    1. I've really loved both cream removers that I've tried (Bioderma & Neutrogena), so maybe it is just something about cream removers! Definitely give this one a try :)
