OPI Int'l Crime Caper

Remember OPI's Muppets Collection from a few years ago? Well, OPI and the Muppets are pairing up again to bring us the Muppets Most Wanted Collection! This Collection will include 8 polishes that will be available March 2014. Today I have the shade Int'l Crime Caper* ($10.95 CAD), which is a pearly sheer polish.

"OPI announces the launch of eight new limited edition nail lacquers inspired by Disney’s
Muppets Most Wanted. With an all-star cast including Kermit the Frog, Constantine, Ricky Gervais,
Miss Piggy, Ty Burrell, Tina Fey and the whole Muppet gang, this family comedy is directed by James Bobin and written by Bobin and Nicholas Stoller. Muppets Most Wanted opens in theaters on March 21, 2014. - OPI

"To miss this opalescent pearl would be the crime of the century." - OPI

OPI's Int'l Crime Caper is a very sheer, pearly polish. I used two coats to get this look, and as you can see, you can definitely still see my nail lines. This isn't a formula that you can build up to be opaque - it's meant to be worn sheer. I know that a lot of people absolutely love sheer polishes (it's the only formula that my mother will wear), but it's just not for me. I love a good opaque polish, so Int'l Crime Caper isn't a hit in my books. However, the pearly finish is absolutely beautiful, and I'm wanting to try to layer a coat of Int'l Crime Caper over top of a lilac polish - I think that combo would be perfect! Int'l Crime Caper will highlight any imperfections that you might have on your nails - bumps, ridges, etc., so keep that in mind.

Overall, OPI's Int'l Crime Caper is a beautiful pearly sheer polish - but it just isn't for me. If you love sheer polishes, then give this one a try, otherwise pass by it. Are you a fan of sheer polishes? Are you excited about OPI's upcoming Muppets Most Wanted Collection?

  1. I am not a fan of sheer polishes at all but I would love to see what this looks like over a colored polish.

  2. I like sheer polishes, but I can see why they're not for everyone. I'm sure this would look awesome over a lilac polish!

  3. I don't like sheer polishes, but like you said, layered would be gorgeous! Lilac would be so pretty for spring :) It's spring...right?

  5. I'm not a fan of sheers on their own, but worn over other opaque colours, they can add a cool depth to the colour.
