Real Techniques Blush Brush

I love a good blush brush, and i think that I've found my new favourite in Real Techniques' Blush Brush* ($9.99 CAD)! With every new Real Techniques brush that I'm trying out, I fall more and more in love with the brand. At first I was a bit skeptical of this brush, since it doesn't have the same shape of blush brushes that I've used in the past. However, I fell in love from the first use!

"Designed with pro makeup artist Samantha Chapman, Real Techniques brushes combine high-tech materials with innovative design to make creating a pixel-perfect look easier than ever.

Use Real Techniques Blush Brush to contour and define cheeks for flawlessly blended, high-definition results:
  • look pixel-perfect even in harsh light
  • ultra-plush, synthetic taklon bristles are hand-cut and 100% cruelty-free
  • self-standing for easy storage
  • extended aluminum handle is light and easy to use" - Farley Co

The bristles of Real Techniques' Blush Brush aren't incredibly soft, but I was surprised to find that this didn't bother me too much! They aren't scratchy or uncomfortable to use, they just aren't super soft. This blush brush has a tapered shape to it, which makes it fairly versatile. The tip of the brush can easily be used to apply a highlighter, and the body of the brush head can be used to apply blush. These synthetic bristles pick up colour very nicely, and it works well with every blush that I've tried it on (NARS, Tarte, MAKE UP FOR EVER, Revlon, Sleek, etc.). I would recommend this brush for powder blushes, but you might want to use something a bit more dense for cream blushes (like Real Techniques' Stippling Brush). This Blush Brush washes very easily - I just use baby shampoo.

I'm really impressed with this Blush Brush! I love the shape, and the bristles pick up just the right amount of product. Again, I love that Real Techniques only uses synthetic bristles, that's a huge bonus for me! Have you tried out Real Techniques' Blush Brush? What are your favourite blush brushes? :)

  3. I have this brush and agree it's great but my favourite blush brush at the moment is the limited edition duo fibre Real Techniques brush. It's great for lightly applying darker shades so I can't be too heavy handed!

  4. I always hear great things about these brushes, but the fat handles bother me for some reason. I guess because they're so much fatter than all my other brushes and I kind of like things blending in together. Maybe I just sound crazy haha
