Revlon Nail Art Sun Candy - Northern Lights

Revlon has released a new nail art duo called Sun Candy, and today I have the shade Northern Lights* ($8.95 CAD) to share with you! This nail polish comes packaged in a dual ended tube containing a "bright base coat and iridescent top coat for a dazzling solar effect". I love the idea of this type of packaging, since you can easily wear the base colour on it's own, and then use the glitter on all nails, as an accent nail, or not at all depending on your mood.

Revlon Nail Art Sun Candy in Northern Lights

Revlon's Nail Art Sun Candy in Northern Lights contains a light baby blue polish on one end, and a glittery blue shade on the other end. I started off with two coats of the baby blue polish, which has great pigmentation and consistency. This is definitely a shade that I would wear on its' own, especially in the warm Summer months! I then added two coats of the shimmer/glitter polish. I find that the glitter in these Sun Candy polishes is quite subtle, so I prefer the bolder look that two coats gives. The shimmer in this polish is very fine, but it looks absolutely beautiful, especially in the sun/light. The glitter applied evenly, and didn't leave my nails feeling gritty or bumpy. This long bottle can make application a bit difficult. I recommend putting the bottle down on a table while painting your nails, instead of trying to hold on to the bottle.

Overall, I'm really love the Sun Candy line! I love having the choice of wearing a cream polish on its' own, but also having a coordinating polish to pair over top if I wanted to. Have you tried out any of Revlon's new Sun Candy polishes? Which shades are your favourites? :)
