Top Picks: Powder Highlighters

I'm a huge highlighter fan, and today I thought that I would bring you my all time favourite powder highlighters! I apply highlighter everyday, and I find powder highlighters to be the easiest to use in a hurry. I have 7 recommendations, ranging from Essence to Bobbi Brown and Dior. There's bound to be something for everyone!

By far my most used highlighter is NARS' Albatross (reviewed here) - just take a look at all that pan! I'll probably be finished with this pan within a month, and I'll be very sad to see it go. Albatross is a golden highlight that brings a beautiful glow to your skin. I really love pairing this with other NARS blushes, as the same golden shimmer is used in many of their shades (Sin, Deep Throat).

Lancôme Blush/Highlighter in Rose Étincelle* (reviewed here) - This blush is gorgeous in the compact with the rose stamping, and it's even more beautiful on the skin. This texture is so silky and finely milled, I always enjoy using it. This is one highlighter that I normally reserve for my cheekbones, as I tend to do with most pink toned highlights.

Essence Beauty Beats Shimmer Powder in Swaaag! (reviewed here) - This is a new addition to my collection, and I couldn't be happier about it! This colour is similar to NARS Albatross, but it's a bit less golden and more cream toned. This formula can be a little bit chalky, so don't get too heavy handed with it.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in Beige - I've been lusting over all of Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick Compacts for so long, I'm really glad that I finally picked one up! Beige is a beautiful highlighter, and a little less bronze than Dior's Amber Diamond.

Revlon Highlighting Palette in Rose Glow* - This is a newer product from Revlon, and the formula is amazing! This powder is so silky and creamy, and it's a shade that I would pair with pink or coral blushes.

Dior Amber Diamond (reviewed here) - This is such an iconic highlighter, and I think that anyone who loves makeup should give this a try! You can use each shade individually, or swirl them all together (which is what I normally do). I really like using this bronzey highlighter with red blushes, the combination is beautiful!

Dior Rose Diamond (reviewed here) - This is the other highlighter shade from Dior, and I really love using this one in combination with other pink blushes. You could use this one on its' own as a blush if you used mostly the deeper shades in the palette.

6. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in Beige  7. Revlon Highlighting Palette in Rose Glow

So there you have it, my top 7 powder highlighters! I'll be back soon with my favourite liquid/cream highlighters. I'm definitely a highlighter junkie, and I have more on my wishlist (Becca Opal, Hourglass Luminous Light, The Balm Mary Lou-manizer). I definitely don't need any more, and I'm trying to use what I have before I make any more purchases! Do we share any of the same highlighter favourites?

  2. The Dior Amber Diamond is so pretty. I'm just getting into highlighters and I love MAC mineralize skin finish and I just got the Stereo Rose a few days ago(it is being re-promoted) and can't be happier with it. So beautiful and I totally understand what the hype is all about.

  7. Just started getting into highlighters. Thanks for the suggestions! The one I really want to try is Nars Devotee, I believe it is part of the new cheek palette only, because I have not seen it in normal size. Have you?
