Annabelle Skinny Brow Liner - Universal Medium

I've been trying out a lot of different brow products over the past few months, and today I'll be sharing my thoughts on Annabelle's Skinny Brow Liner* ($8.95/0.09 g) with you! There are so many different brow products on the market, and you have options of pencils, powders, palettes, gels, wax, etc. I love the ease and convenience of a pencil, especially when it's retractable like this one is!

"Get perfectly sculpted brows! This retractable micro-pencil allows a precise application and a natural look. Its formula is matte, rich and easy to blend. Includes a brow-shaping comb easy to use. Waterproof and super longwear. Hypo-Allergenic." - Annabelle

Annabelle's Skinny Brow Liner comes in an eyeliner-esque twist up tube. On one end of the tube you have the actual product, and on the other end you have a plastic comb. I definitely would have preferred a traditional spoolie, as this plastic brush is a little bit hard to use. The product itself comes in a very thin pencil form, which makes precision application really easy. The shade universal medium would work for anyone with dark blonde brows, like myself. I did find that this shade ran a bit light, but there's also a universal dark shade available. This shade is matte, and it looks quite natural in my brows. This product is soft, and easy to apply without tugging at your skin. I will say that I feel as though I use a lot of the product each time I do my brows, and I wouldn't be surprised if I ran out of this stick fairly soon. Brow pencils in general seem to get used up quickly, but I still thought that this was worth mentioning. I wouldn't say that this product was waterproof, but it does stay on my brows for 7 hours before starting to fade. This wouldn't last if you're going swimming or if you got caught in a downpour, but it works well for everyday wear.

Overall, while I do like this brow product, it isn't my favourite one on the market. However, if you like brow products in pencil form, and you want to support a Canadian company, then this is a good option. I really, really wish that this came with a spoolie instead of that pink plastic comb - I feel like all brow products should come with a spoolie! Have you tried Annabelle's Skinny Brow Liner before? What are you currently using on your brows? :)

Too light for me, but the formula sounds lovely!

  4. hmmm yes the plastic comb seems a bit unsubstantial to me. how will it come out my bushy brows? the color seems to match well enough
if you want a brow pencil that lasts forever, try the MUFE ones. i've been using the same pencil for 2 years now. 2 YEARS!!! and there's still a lot left.
