Clarins Multi-Blush - Candy

Clarins' new Opalescence Collection for Spring 2014 includes the launch of their new Multi-Blush, and today I have the shade Candy* ($30/4g) to share with you! I love a good cream blush, and this was my first time trying a cosmetic item from Clarins.  I'm always attracted to the gold shiny packaging from the brand, it's just so chic and sophisticated!

"A cream blush that transforms into powder upon contact with the skin.4 rose and coral shades, super easy to apply!
• Its creamy and soft texture sculpts, smoothens and colors the cheeks with an ultra-natural, fresh effect.
• Its floral wax enriched formula (rose, mimosa and sunflower) pampers the skin and protects it from dehydration.
• Gives luster to the skin with the Light Optimizing+ Complex, a Clarins exclusive." - Clarins

Clarins' new Multi-Blush formula is super silky smooth, and turns into a powder formula when applied. I actually like to apply this cream blush with my fingers, as I've found that all of my typical cream blush brushes sheer out this product too much. This formula is very easy to apply with your fingers - it blends out easily, and you have about 30 seconds to work with the colour before it sets. I've found that this blush lasts for 8 hours on my cheeks before fading, and even longer when set with a powder blush!

The shade Candy is a beautiful light pink that applies fairly sheer at first. I use two layers of Candy to get my desired look, but this blush is very versatile. You can wear this shade very sheer and light, or build it up to a more intense pink shade. This formula didn't accentuate my pores, which is my biggest concern with cream blushes. Candy gives a slightly luminous look to my cheeks, so you could skip the highlighter if you had oily skin. You can also wear this formula on your lips, but I found that this shade looked too powdery on my lips. However, it was quite hydrating, and the colour lasted for 3 hours.

I'm really enjoying this new formula from Clarins! Candy is a pretty baby pink shade & I think it will be perfect for the upcoming Spring season. I love the all day wear time that I get from this blush, and the formula is so easy to use (you don't need a brush!). There are three other shades in this new formula, and Rosewood is calling my name. Have you tried out Clarins' new Multi-Blush formula? What has been your favourite Spring 2014 collection so far? :)

  2. that color is so beautiful on you! I'm kind of tempted to try it now, even the lip swatch is gorgeous and it's not often a convertible blush works both ways.

    1. Clarins' formula is a lot less sticky/tacky, but Stila's is more pigmented! I think I prefer Clarins', it's easier to apply & blend! :)

  9. Wow, this sets so quickly! I love Clarins' packaging, and this product seems really straightforward and lovely. Cream blushes are my favourite, and this one sounds perfect (less tacky than Stila? SOLD!)
