Clarins Multi-Blush - Rosewood

A few weeks ago, I brought you Clarins Multi-Blush in Candy, and today I'm back with the shade Rosewood* ($30/4g)! I'm already smitten with Candy, so I couldn't wait to try out another shade from the line. This cream formula can be worn on both cheeks and lips, and I love it both ways!

"A cream blush that transforms into powder upon contact with the skin.4 rose and coral shades, super easy to apply!

• Its creamy and soft texture sculpts, smoothens and colors the cheeks with an ultra-natural, fresh effect.
• Its floral wax enriched formula (rose, mimosa and sunflower) pampers the skin and protects it from dehydration.
• Gives luster to the skin with the Light Optimizing+ Complex, a Clarins exclusive." - Clarins

Clarins' new Multi-Blush formula is super silky smooth, and turns into a powder formula when applied. I actually like to apply this cream blush with my fingers, as I've found that all of my typical cream blush brushes sheer out this product too much. This formula is very easy to apply with your fingers - it blends out easily, and you have about 30 seconds to work with the colour before it sets. I'll sometimes go back in with Real Techniques' Stippling Brush to completely blend out everything. I've found that this blush lasts for 8 hours on my cheeks before fading, and even longer when set with a powder blush!

The shade Rosewood is a beautiful dusty rose that looks quite natural on my fair skin. I think that this shade work work well on light-medium skin tones, but it might look a bit chalky on darker complexions (although I haven't tested this out). This formula is easy to sheer out, but you can also build up the intensity quite a bit with a second layer. When worn on the lips, the colour lasts for 3 hours, but I do feel the need to apply a lip balm or gloss after about an hour and a half. Rosewood doesn't contain any shimmer or glitter, and it sets to a fairly matte finish. And can we just talk about the gorgeous packaging for a second? Clarins' gold packaging is just beautiful, and this blush looks perfect on my vanity!

Clarins' Rosewood on cheeks & lips

Clarins' new Multi-Blushes were released as a part of their Spring Opalescence Collection, which I definitely think deserves a look. I really love this new blush formula, and the shade Rosewood is a welcome addition to my ever-growing blush collection! Have you checked out Clarins' Opalescence Collection yet? If not, what are you waiting for? :)
