Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow - Golden Orchid

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I'm back with another Radiant Orchid product, this time it's an eye shadow. Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Golden Orchid* ($18.50/2.5 g) is a gorgeous shimmery purple shadow, and the formula is on point.

"Rooted in NYC with more than 100 years of beauty expertise, Beautiful Color Eye Shadows were developed in shades that are trend driven and in a formula that is good for your skin. The outcome: smooth, crease-free shadows that combine long-lasting color with luxurious skin care benefits. Vitamin enriched. Oil-Free." - Elizabeth Arden

I've been loving purple shadows lately, and Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Golden Orchid has found a place in my beauty routine. This shade is right up my alley, and a colour that I feel very comfortable wearing. This formula is creamy & pigmented, but it's also very easy to blend and sheer out if you wanted to. My favourite way to wear Golden Orchid is by starting out with Laura Mercier's Caviar Stick Eye Color in Amethyst all over my lids. Then I use a dense brush to pack on Golden Orchid all over my lids. This creates a beautiful look, that is extremely simple to create. This formula wears all day long on my lids, and only starts to fade around the 10 hour mark. I'm impressed!

This was my first time trying out one of Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Color Eye Shadows, but now I'm wanting to try out a few other shades from the range. Blonde, Sunset, and Romance are calling my name! Have you tried this shade formula before? Are you hopping on the Radiant Orchid bandwagon? :)

  2. I love the gold shimmer in this shadow...it really elevates it to something much more interesting than a plain Radiant Orchid. :)

  4. So pretty! I love how it's a mix of pink and purple, which makes it a little more friendly for daytime than a cool toned purple would be.

  11. I'm actually not a fan of orchid as a colour....THE SHAME. BUT THIS, THIS IS GORGEOUS. I tend not to like the brighter orchids because I have no idea how to pull them off, but this shade is pretty wearable!
