I've been loving purple shadows lately, and Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Golden Orchid has found a place in my beauty routine. This shade is right up my alley, and a colour that I feel very comfortable wearing. This formula is creamy & pigmented, but it's also very easy to blend and sheer out if you wanted to. My favourite way to wear Golden Orchid is by starting out with Laura Mercier's Caviar Stick Eye Color in Amethyst all over my lids. Then I use a dense brush to pack on Golden Orchid all over my lids. This creates a beautiful look, that is extremely simple to create. This formula wears all day long on my lids, and only starts to fade around the 10 hour mark. I'm impressed!
This was my first time trying out one of Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Color Eye Shadows, but now I'm wanting to try out a few other shades from the range. Blonde, Sunset, and Romance are calling my name! Have you tried this shade formula before? Are you hopping on the Radiant Orchid bandwagon? :)
ooo quite pretty. this sort of reminds me of a more pink african violet from laura mercier. which sort of reminds me of MAC's juxt. which sort of reminds me of another clinique shadow lol

A Beautiful Zen
Haha! I've been curious about African Violet, everyone raves about it! :)
DeleteI love the gold shimmer in this shadow...it really elevates it to something much more interesting than a plain Radiant Orchid. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it beautiful? :)
DeleteI am all over the radiant orchid this year. I love it! This shadow is really pretty, I'm not too familiar with Elizabeth Arden but I know they are really great quality.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm also very new to the brand, but I'm loving this so much that I'm wanting to try out more! :)
DeleteSo pretty! I love how it's a mix of pink and purple, which makes it a little more friendly for daytime than a cool toned purple would be.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love that about it too, it's so versatile :)
DeleteOooh I love this one. Looks like some of the UD Naked 3 colours only a bit more purpley. Want!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely more purple than the Naked 3 colours! :)
DeleteI really like this shade, it has somewhat of a plumy undertone and think it would look great with green eyes. The packaging is just lovely :)
ReplyDeleteYou're right, it would look amazing on green eyes! :)
DeleteWow, what a gorgeous shade - the color looks so complex! Very beautiful!

DeleteIt looks very nice, I love everything with a little gold :D
ReplyDeleteHaha, I do too! :)
DeleteThis shade is beautiful!! I love the golden tones:)
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteI have this shadow and the color "Romance". They are both beautiful and create such soft, feminine looks.
ReplyDeleteRomance looks beautiful! :)
DeleteI'm actually not a fan of orchid as a colour....THE SHAME. BUT THIS, THIS IS GORGEOUS. I tend not to like the brighter orchids because I have no idea how to pull them off, but this shade is pretty wearable!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, bright orchid can be hard to pull off! But this shade is SO wearable! :)
DeleteThis is such a pretty shade. I haven't tried any Elizabeth Arden eyeshadows, but now I really want to try this one.
ReplyDeleteThanks! This was my first experience with any of their shadows and I'm thoroughly impressed! :)
DeleteI love this color, reminds me of a The Balm Instain Blush!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Ooh, I'm really wanting to try out that formula, they look amazing!
DeleteThis sounds like a great shadow! I really like the colour and it's perfect for spring.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chantal! :)
