essence Colour & Go Nail Polish - The Green & the Grunge and Go Bold!

I've always heard rave reviews on essence's nail polishes, and I've finally tried them out! I wanted to create a simple St. Patrick's Day manicure, so I used essence's Colour & Go Nail Polish in The Green & the Grunge* and Go Bold!* ($1.99/8 ml). If you're like me and horrible at nail art, this simple mani is the way to go!

"colour explosion! the huge colour & go range has the beloved gel-shine finish with a highly intensive shine and an extremely short drying time for perfectly polished nails in a flash! the patented quick & easy brush is particularly flat for an even easier application. the 8ml bottle has a cool essence design – with the usual colour-coded cap in the corresponding nail polish colour." - essence

I used essence Colour & Go Nail Polish in The Green & the Grunge on all of my nails except for my pinkies. I used two coats of this gorgeous emerald green. This formula is really creamy and highly pigmented - I was almost able to leave it at one coat. I then used three coats of Go Bold! on my pinkie nails, as an accent. This polish was a bit thinner, but I was still able to make it opaque. Both polishes dried really quickly, and I was left with a nice shiny finish. The brush is quite wide, and I was able to cover my entire nail in one or two swipes. For under $2, I'm super impressed!

This mani brings together the typically St. Patrick's Day green, with a touch of a pot of gold! Are you going to be painting your nails green for St. Patrick's Day? These polishes from essence are so affordable, you really can't go wrong. Have you tried essence's Colour & Go Nail Polish before? Which shades are your favourites? :)

  6. I painted my nails with Lucky from Julep last year for St Paddy's day and my fingers were stained for like a month... never again...

    1. Oh no!! Did you use a base coat? I have really bad luck with blue polishes staining my nails.

  7. I always think I should try these when I'm in Shoppers Drug Mart, but I figured they probably suck because they're so cheap. Glad to see I was wrong! Will be picking some up next time I'm at Shoppers.

  11. I think I need to try an Essence polish! It's one of the few brands I haven't tried yet. Also I love a good accent nail. So easy but a great way to add a bit of detail!
