Lush Sugar Scrub

I recently finished off my tub of The Body Shop's Vineyard Peach Body Scrub, which I loved, but I had to replace it with something from my stash. I decided upon Lush's Sugar Scrub* ($6.25/100 g), which is quite different from what I was previously using!

"Our solid Sugar Scrub is tough on cellulite and unwanted bumps, but kind on your skin. It’s no nonsense attitude doesn’t waste any time getting down to business; sweetly exfoliating with Fair Trade sugar and stimulating circulation with fennel and ginger. It’s not all rough stuff though; calming lavender has a balancing effect and encourages healthier skin. Get yourself wet in the bath or shower (but don’t let the bar get under the running water). Scrub, scrub, scrub and rinse away! You’ll be left with smoother, cleaner and radiant skin. Water you waiting for? Get scrubbing!" - Lush

Lush Sugar Scrub

Lush's Sugar Scrub is a solid, and it comes without any packaging. To use, bring it into the shower with you and run it over your wet skin. Make sure to keep this little guy out of the stream of water, or else it will start to break down. This scrub is quite abrasive, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin. I like to use this on my legs, but it's a bit too rough for my upper body. However, this scrub will give your skin an excellent exfoliation. Even though this scrub is quite harsh, it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry. Lush claims that this product helps to fight cellulite, but I'm not able to test out that claim. Lush's Sugar Scrub has a light earthy scent, thanks to the fennel, lavender, and ginger root. The scent isn't as strong as I would have liked it to be, and it doesn't linger on my skin for too long.

Lush Sugar Scrub

If you enjoy a good, strong exfoliant, then you'll love Lush's Sugar Scrub. I think that it's a bit too harsh for my skin, but it does work well on my legs. If you have sensitive skin, stay away from this product (I'd recommend trying Lush's Aqua Mirabilis). Have you tried Lush's Sugar Scrub before? :)

  7. I feel like I might have tried this at one point, but I actually can't remember (isn't that terrible?). Still, it looks (and sounds) very effective!
