I've tried a few BB Creams, but I haven't tried any of the new CC Creams - until now. I've been playing around with Marcelle's CC Cream* ($29.95/1.1 oz), and I'm so impressed! I have to admit, I was really skeptical of both BB and CC Creams, but I've found a few BB Creams that I liked, and now I have a great CC Cream in my collection.
"Pure 24K gold has been infused into Marcelle’s Complete Correction Cream to diminish the appearance of dark spots and skin tone imperfections that can be caused by sun exposure or the aging of skin. The formula’s lightweight consistency and ingredients provide full coverage and leaves your skin feeling smoother, firmer and highly moisturized. Radiance is boosted to give your complexion a perfect glow! With SPF 35." - Marcelle
Marcelle's CC Cream comes packaged in a plastic see-through container with a pump applicator (thank you!). Initially, the product looks white inside the packaging, but it pumps out a beige colour. I have the shade Light to Medium, but there's also a Medium to Dark option. Marcelle's CC Cream has a beautiful thick & creamy consistency, and it's quite hydrating. Anyone with oily skin could probably skip their moisturizer when using this product! I like to take one pump of this CC Cream, and use my fingers to blend it into my skin. This product blends in effortlessly, and I find that the Light to Medium shade matches my skin tone wonderfully. I do use a powder to set this product, as it does give a slightly glowy finish. This product offers medium coverage, and on days when I'm just around the house or running errands, this is all that I need. However, if I want a more flawless, full coverage look, I'll add some foundation and concealer over top.
Marcelle's CC Cream wears nicely throughout the day, and doesn't oxidize or break down on my skin. My skin isn't particularly oily or dry, so I typically don't tend to have issues with my foundations wearing off prematurely. I do tend to get quite red around my nose, and I love how nicely this CC Cream corrects that redness. In the photo below, I've applied Marcelle's CC Cream to the left side of my face, and the right side is completely bare. This product has nicely covered up any redness, breakouts, or other imperfections that I had.
I've been really impressed with this product! I also love that it contains SPF 35, and it doesn't create a white cast in flash photography. Though at $29.95, I do find this product a bit pricey. Marcelle does have an amazing promotion happening right now, where you can score 40% off of everything at Marcelle.com with the code WOMEN, and shipping is free on all Canadian orders! You can't beat that deal! Have you tried Marcelle's CC Cream before, or any other CC Creams on the market? :) Click here to see Jenn from A Beautiful Zen's review!
I'm glad you loved this so much! i wish it worked better for my oiler skin but i couldn't handle the dewiness or it. The DD was more suitable for me.

It is very thick & creamy, so I understand that it might not work on oily skin! I need to try their DD Cream & see how it compares! :)
DeleteThis looks very nice on you. I've never tried a CC cream before.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah! This was my first experience with a CC cream, and now I'm hooked! :)
DeleteThis sounds amazing! My skin has been so dry lately so I love that this is creamy and hydrating :)
ReplyDeleteI think you would love it! :)
DeleteOh interesting, yea I can't do thick & dewy. You have such nice skin though, I can't really tell the difference from the with/without picture haha
ReplyDeleteThanks Jasmine! You're so sweet! I find that this product really helps to reduce redness & even my skin tone :)
DeleteI like Marcelle products :)
ReplyDeleteI do too :)
DeleteI REALLY had to look at your skin to see a difference, but it did actually take away some of the redness and just evened things out. I have tried the Marcelle, BB and DD, but not the CC cream!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a ton of redness, so it's hard to see the differences, but they're definitely there! I'm wanting to try out their DD Cream, I've never tried one before! :)
DeleteI've been meaning to try out some CC creams. I want to try some of the Almay products oh, AND the Physicians Formula products.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm curious about other CC Creams! I have one from Mary Kay that I've tried once and quite liked, but I need to give it a more time! :)
Deletelove the half and half face. I get quite red around the nose too so it's great that this covers it up. I haven't tried a CC cream yet but this one seems pretty good!
ReplyDeleteThanks Zoe! I was kind of hesitant to put the picture up!
DeleteI constantly have redness around my nose thanks to my allergies, so anything that helps with that is a winner in my book! :)
Great review Laura! You actually have really good skin, it was hard for me to tell the two halves apart! I've been wanting to try this one as I really like the DD cream.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Everyone is saying that their DD cream is great, I'll need to try it out :)
DeleteBB Creams, CC Creams, DD Creams... I'm so confused, lol!
ReplyDeleteI have not tried a CC Cream yet, but I have one from Olay - I think - sitting in my untrieds pile.
This one looks really good on you, it matches your skin tone perfectly.
I know lol it can be so confusing! I'm still unsure what a DD Cream is lol
DeleteThanks Chantal! :)
I battle with quite a bit of redness in my face, so this kind of product is very appealing to me. :) love the pump dispenser, too!
ReplyDeleteI think you would really like this! :)
