Marcelle Lux Gloss Crème - Lolita

Back in January, I shared Marcelle's Lux Gloss Crème in Chiquita, which I'm still loving! Today I'm back with another shade from the range, Lolita* ($10.95 CAD/0.16 oz). I absolutely love this formula, and I love that Marcelle is a Canadian brand!

Marcelle Lux Gloss Crème Lolita

"For luscious high-shine lips!

An extension to the Lux Gloss line, the Lux Gloss Crème delivers semi-sheer colors in a pure creamy finish. Its non-sticky, hydrating formula feels pleasant and comfortable on the lips. Easy to wear, the Lux Gloss Crème gives your lips that wet shiny look to make them look fuller and plumper. Available in 7 trendy shades. You will want them all!

Hypo-allergenic and perfume free." - Marcelle

Marcelle Lux Gloss Crème Lolita Label

Marcelle's Lux Gloss Crèmes come packaged in simple clear plastic tubes, with a rubberized black lid. There is a doe foot applicator, which is easy to use and gets the job done. The shade Lolita is perfect for the upcoming Spring season - a light coral with a hint of shimmer. The shimmer is very finely milled, and I can't feel it on my lips at all. If you are looking for a highly pigmented gloss, then this won't be for you. I actually prefer slightly sheer lip glosses, as they can be easier to apply and maintain throughout the day. You can always layer Lolita over top of a pigmented lip stick if you wanted a more intense lip.

As the name would suggest, this formula feels both very "luxe" and creamy on your lips. Since this shade is sheer, it's incredibly easy to apply on the go, and I've been reaching for it when I'm running out the door. This formula feels cushiony, and it's very comfortable & hydrating. I can get about 4 hours of wear from this gloss, which I find quite good! I also love that this gloss isn't sticky at all.

If you haven't tried any of Marcelle's Lux Gloss Crèmes before, what are you waiting for? This formula is hydrating, not sticky, and fairly long-wearing. I think that a lot of people underestimate the wonders of a sheer gloss! Are you a fan of sheer or more pigmented glosses? :)

  4. I'm not entirely sure I'm on board with the name of this and what it's implying, but the colour is cute.
